Her original 283ci/270HP with her 4BBL Single carb are all in great working order and she is mated to her Hurst 4 Speed manual gearbox married to her LSD. The last year of the C1 was a one of year as the General Motors executives decided to review some of Mitchell's designs and made the decision to "green light" a restyling of Corvette for the 1961 model year. Bill Mitchell (Corvette Designer) had begun the process of developing a prototype for an all new Corvette that would go on to become known as the "Mako Shark I." He had also championed a team of Chevrolet designers in developing both cosmetic and performance upgrades to the existing C1 body styling. The most pronounced of Mitchell's changes was the introduction of a freshened rear end design. The "ducktail" design (as it has become known amongst Corvette enthusiasts) was virtually lifted from the Stingray race car as well as Mitchell's XP-700 show car but bonus from a practicality standpoint, the redesign of the rear end of the Corvette C1/2 enabled an increase in available luggage space by twenty percent (20%). The new rear end also showcased a pair of small, round taillights on each side of the license plate recess. (These re-designed tail lights would become synonymous with Corvette and would be a standard feature (in one form or another) on all future generations of Corvette). This never to be repeated again opportunity is upon you now and if your in the market for a superb period correct highly preserved '61 C1 as she was sold new and still in LHD configuration to ensure future values especially being sold back to the US as prices have been strong for the "right" C1 and C2 Corvette's. With recent mechanical and service completed including upgrades for useability a new larger radiator coolant hoses and full flush, oil pan, valve cover, new exhaust system complete and alternator conversion. She is an absolute pleasure to drive and creates smiles where ever you go and causes conversations every time you park. With all period correct gauges and interior cabin finishes as she left the factory back in Sept 1961 it really is a sense of an occasion every time you get behind the wheel and the assurance of her strong pedigree assures your investment. This is a great addition to any US Muscle car collection or enthusiast looking for a fantastic iconic period correct summer cruiser at massive value considering the cost of importing/current exchnage rates or restoring such a prime example, for the value she represents why would you bother she is ready to go now.

The styling of the 1968 Camaro was very similar to the 1967 design. With the introduction of Astro Ventilation, a fresh-air-inlet system, the side vent windows were deleted. Side marker lights were added on the front and rear fenders which was a government requirement for all 1968 vehicles. It also had a more pointed front grille and divided rear taillights.
