Interestingly, the Nismo version was specified delete ABS and rear windshield wiper resulting in a weight savings of approximately 40kg. The AMC Javelin is an American front-engine, rear-wheel-drive, two-door hardtop automobile manufactured by American Motors Corporation (AMC) across two generations, 1968 through 1970 and 1971 through 1974 model years. The 1972 model year Javelins featured a new "egg crate" front grille design with a similar pattern repeated on the chrome overlay over the full-width taillights. The AMX version continued with the flush grille. A total of 15 exterior colours were offered with optional side stripes. This Rambler Javelin is a genuine two owner car and one of only 48 Australian delivered right hand drive examples. Based on the humble Impreza family car, Subaru's mighty WRX ranks right at the top of the list of motoring cult cars. Introduced in 1992, the WRX shared the underpinnings of the previous Liberty/Legacy RS, but each part was refined, enhanced, and encased in a smaller body. Australian delivered cars received a 155-kW version of the EJ20, 2.0-litre horizontally opposed turbo 4-cylinder coupled to the familiar constant all-wheel drive system.
