Originally concept "HP-X" (Honda Pininfarina experimental) inside Honda back in 1984 when engineers wanted to make a super car to compete with cars from Italy so Honda approached Italian car designer "Pininfarina" to come up with the design. Honda used it technology from its involvement in Formula 1 and as momentum continued the "HP-X ended up being named NS-X (New Sportscar experimental) and had major input by both F1 drivers Satoru Nakajima & Ayrton Senna for their input/assistance in perfecting this extraordinary direction from Honda. Many world firsts came with this new Japanese Supercar including the worlds first production car to feature "an all aluminium semi-monocoque incorporating a new revolutionary extruded aluminium alloy frame and suspension components.
