This is a 1 of 3,966 Scat Pack Super bee Coupes Produced in 1970 - Painted in Dodge's Famous 'Top Banana' with black vinyl interior. Imported into Australia in 2012 by the current owner. Starting life as a Factory 383 but now running a 440 stroked to 512 with 11.7:1 compression, making 508.6 RWHP! Twin Holley Sniper Carb (Injection) and Street Dominator Intake, BB Chrysler E-Street heads 210cc 75cc-ported, new timing set, cam lifters, roller rockers. Exhaust system consists of TTI ceramic coated headers and a full custom 3" stainless exhaust with electric cut outs. The transmission is a 4 Speed Hurst Pistol Grip Manual Transmission with a McLeod Street twin plate 18 Spline 10.5 clutch followed by a Mopar 8.750 differential, US Gear CW Pinion 3.7 Ratio, 33 Spline Eaton Tru Trac, 1350 Series Strange diff yoke, 1350 series uni point u bolts, 33 Spline Dutchman Motorsport axle shafts, wheel studs, wheel bearings, Hemi Leaf Springs Hotchkis rear sway bar, Hotchkis adjustable steering rod kit, adjustable strut rods and lastly a quick ratio pitman arm. Running 20x12 Foose rear wheels and 19×10 Foose front wheels. Braking is taken care of by a SSCS front disc brake conversion and rear drums. The paintwork is original except for the engine bay, bonnet and other touch ups. Full NSW registration. This is the next best thing being the original car sold for US$1m decades ago sitting in the NASCAR HOF Museum so this will be the next closest and best thing and here we present to you one of the best tribute/clone's of that very car Buddy Baker #88 broke the rule books with!! A 1970 Dodge Charger built to disguise the car that Buddy accelerated to 200+ MPH which started of life as a 383, automatic, Charger 500 but now sporting beautiful bright "Hemi" blue paintwork with white stripe across the rear together with the special #88 livery and fitted with the special nose cone and huge rear wing, making this iconic tribute look like it is doing 200mph standing still!! Under the hood is nothing but the very best, a genuine NASCAR 426 cubic inch fuel injected Hemi engine producing in excess of 500 horsepower all controlled by a MOTEC engine management system. Side exiting exhaust system also adds to the race feel!! The Hemi engine is backed up by a 727 Torqueflite automatic gearbox. Inside is as per original with standard seats in black vinyl.
