The Holden Special Vehicles SV5000 was a proper V8 bruiser and was built in very limited numbers (359 in total) between 1989 and 1991. Based on the VN Commodore, the SV5000 started life in Holden’s Elizabeth plant in South Australia before being transferred to the boffins over at HSV, who were located in Notting Hill in Victoria at the time. This particular SV5000 is finished in SV Racing Green, one of only a handful of colours available on the SV5000 model. Both inside and out this SV5000 presents nicely and has only minor modifications such as a stereo and exhaust upgrade. Comes with original logbook, logbook folder and broadcast sheet. Jungle fever!! Although this Clubsport may look standard on the outside, under the bonnet is a different ball game. With a host of performance upgrades such as cam, lifters, headers, exhaust and Harrop cold air intake, increasing the original 340 kilowatts to a staggering 430 rear wheel kilowatts. All modifications done on the car were carried about by Russo Performance, a reputable name when it comes to performance upgrades and modifications on cars of this genre. The convertor in the gearbox has also been upgraded accordingly to keep up with the extra power from the engine. Externally the “Jungle Fever” green paintwork grabs your eye and presents like new thanks to a recent ceramic coating. The original wheels have also been powder coated to enhance their appearance. The Clubsport has been treated to only two owners and has only travelled just over 18,000 kilometres. All the modifications were carried out during the current owner’s ownership and has only been used sparingly since. The car still retains its logbook, owner’s manual, two keys, receipts for all work done and the car has also just been serviced. Ready to be enjoyed by the next owner.
