In the classic and muscle car scene there a few certain models that have particularly strong following. The Holden VL Commodore is one of them. In just about any form or genre the Holden VL Commodore is an extremely popular car. This VL Commodore that we offer to you for sale is up there with the rarest of them. Glancing at the ID tags immediately reflects how special this, beginning with the BT-1 code, LW5 engine code and the MX7 transmission code meaning that this car left the factory as a highway patrol vehicle fitted with its matching number six-cylinder turbo engine and a five-speed manual gearbox. Further to this the car was finished in the popular Blaze Yellow and of course with the Sandalwood upholstery. Finding another one with these factory specifications would be near impossible. This car was originally used by Queensland Police as shown in the original logbooks that are included with the car. Having gone through a ground up restoration no stone was left unturned with attention to detail that has to be seen to be believed. The underneath is just as good as the top too with a highly detailed undercarriage. It goes without saying that this car is an absolute must for any VL enthusiast or Holden collector. Trades considered. Please contact one of our friendly staff to make an appointment to view this car.

James Brock first competed in round three of the 2003 V8 Ute Championship at Wakefield Park and went on to finish 3rd in the Championship that year along with numerous pole positions and lap records. In the same year James and father Peter Brock drove the car together and won the “Great Aussie Ute Race” which was held at the Bathurst 24 Hour Race at Mount Panorama. In 2004 the car was driven by Damien White who along with a string of pole positions and lap records won that years Championship. James Brock then went on to race the Ute again in 2005 under the Team Brock banner and under the Brock Race Engineering banner in 2006. James would go on to race the Ute for the last time at the last round of the Championship at Eastern Creek in 2006 where the car finished in 3rd place.
