The convertor in the gearbox has also been upgraded accordingly to keep up with the extra power from the engine. Externally the “Jungle Fever” green paintwork grabs your eye and presents like new thanks to a recent ceramic coating. The original wheels have also been powder coated to enhance their appearance. The Clubsport has been treated to only two owners and has only travelled just over 18,000 kilometres. The HSV VP Series was launched in October 1991 and featured major upgrades, a re-styled body design and the introduction of six new colours. Independent Rear Suspension also became available on selected short wheelbase models. the introduction of new model names, Senator and GTS which continue to be used to the present day. While the entry-level Clubsport and luxury Senator are equipped with the 180kw V8, the high-performance GTS came standard with the 200kw version and HSV's premium brake package. LSD was standard across the range. Other vehicles in the range included the HSV VP ClubSport, HSV VP SV 91 and a range of limited edition 5th Anniversary vehicles.

The 2004 VZ generation is where for the first time in history HSV led Holden to market a whole new generation of V8 engine. HSV was the first GM brand in Aus to shoehorn the LS2 into a production car and many later models in the line-up.
