The AC Cobra, sold in the United States as the Shelby Cobra and AC Shelby Cobra, is a sports car manufactured by British company AC Cars, with a Ford V8 engine. It was produced intermittently in both the UK and later the USA since 1962. With some help from Ford Motor Company and a small team of mechanics, the first Shelby Cobra was introduced in 1962. It was powered by Ford’s 260 engine, and later with the 289 and 427 V8, and it pretty soon took the sports car world by a storm. The combination of lightweight body, small dimensions and brute US power proved to be revolutionary and the car did extremely well in competition all around the world.
This modern day version of the AC Cobra was manufactured by the “Kit Car Centre” in Boksburg, South Africa. The Kit Car Centre built these Cobra’s from 1982 through to 2003 before being bought out by Backdraft Racing. They are longer and wider for added comfort also. It is believed all of them were fitted with Chev engines just like the one we have here which is fitted with a 454 big block Chev engine!! Atop of this big block monster is Hilborn style electronic fuel injection with MSD ignition and aluminium heads producing in excess of 300kw at the rear wheels!! The transmission is a Turbo 400 and the diff is a Ford 9” running Porsche brakes and four link suspension. This beast is not for the faint hearted!! On the outside the Cobra is nothing but eye popping!! From the iconic Blue and white striped Cobra theme, larger flares and huge bonnet scoop to the period correct Halibrand pin drive centre lock wheels and master side pipes!! Inside is black leather covered seats, racing harnesses, period correct gauges and steering wheel. Harness yourself in for the ride of your life!! Also includes its original logbook and owner’s manual. Rarely does an opportunity arise to be able to purchase a low kilometre example of this model. One for the collector. 1970 Dodge Charger Daytona NASACAR Superbird Tribute - FULL Buddy Baker Homage #88 - GENUINE 426ci NASCAR Hemi engine - Unbelievable Road Presence- What do we say but wow what an absolute beast of a "MOPAR" American muscle car royalty and the Daytona Charger that broke the 200mph circuit oval record back in March 1970 which the actual Daytona that broke the record is sitting in NASCAR's Hall of Fame collection. This is the next best thing being the original car sold for US$1m decades ago sitting in the NASCAR HOF Museum so this will be the next closest and best thing and here we present to you one of the best tribute/clone's of that very car Buddy Baker #88 broke the rule books with!! A 1970 Dodge Charger built to disguise the car that Buddy accelerated to 200+ MPH which started of life as a 383, automatic, Charger 500 but now sporting beautiful bright "Hemi" blue paintwork with white stripe across the rear together with the special #88 livery and fitted with the special nose cone and huge rear wing, making this iconic tribute look like it is doing 200mph standing still!! Under the hood is nothing but the very best, a genuine NASCAR 426 cubic inch fuel injected Hemi engine producing in excess of 500 horsepower all controlled by a MOTEC engine management system. Side exiting exhaust system also adds to the race feel!! The Hemi engine is backed up by a 727 Torqueflite automatic gearbox. Inside is as per original with standard seats in black vinyl. Keeping an eye on all the excitement under the hood are a selection of Autometer gauges. The car sits perfectly on a set of NASCAR Stockcar rims with period Goodyear stencilled tyres. So, if you are in the market for a special Daytona Charger you could never build her for this asking price with so many period correct items and the big major being a genuine 426ci NASCAR V8 the heart of the Mopar beast. The "Winged Warriors" as they were known in NASCAR. Something to note to collectors considering this magnificent Daytona tribute for your collection is the fact that only 70 of the 503 genuine Daytona Chargers built ever had the 426ci Hemi fitted in them with majority having the 440ci Magnum V8, so with a sale in the US last year of an exact tribute with NASCAR 426ci sold for US $500k and genuine cars well over $$$ seven figures you could never repeat this opportunity in Australia.

Based on the humble Impreza family car, Subaru's mighty WRX ranks right at the top of the list of motoring cult cars. The combination of all-wheel drive grip, turbocharging and, crucially, a keen sale price all contributed to this legend - not to mention images of the signature blue and gold works cars howling through the forests in the World Rally Championship. Introduced in 1992, the WRX shared the underpinnings of the previous Liberty/Legacy RS, but each part was refined, enhanced, and encased in a smaller body. Australian delivered cars received a 155-kW version of the EJ20, 2.0-litre horizontally opposed turbo 4-cylinder coupled to the familiar constant all-wheel drive system. A four-speed auto was made available, though most buyers went with the five-speed manual. Acceleration was phenomenal, easily a match for the local V8s of the day, but it was the extraordinary levels of grip the WRX had that made it a legend the era. The flagship two-door STI model arrived in 1999 and limited to just 399 cars for the Australian market.
Muscle Car Warehouse are again proud to offer for sale this 1998 Subaru Impreza WRX STI two door!! This car is one of only 399 delivered to the Australian market and are slowly becoming harder to find. Firstly, sold and delivered to the first owner through Cullen’s of Arncliffe in Sydney on the 22nd of January,1999. It is believed to have had only two owners in its life. Finished in the iconic colour of Rally Blue Metallic with all the original STI additions including, badging, spoilers, and gold rims. This STI has no modifications and is still in great untouched condition and is displaying approximately 122,000 kilometres. It still retains its original logbook, owner’s manual, and other items for the vehicle. This car is a must have for any Japanese car enthusiast. Please contact one of our friendly staff to make an appointment to view this car at our Kogarah showroom.

First released in 2014, the VA series WRX was the first in the brand’s history to ditch the Impreza badge from its name, and has served as Subaru’s halo performance car for almost a decade. EJ25 denotes the engine code of the current generation’s turbocharged 2.5-litre boxer four-cylinder engine which will be phased out with the VA WRX, making way for a completely new powertrain in the performance car’s next generation. The horizontally-opposed four-banger has been performing as the WRX’s most powerful engine since it was first unveiled in the 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. On the outside, there’s individually numbered badging, gold 19-inch BBS aluminium wheels, silver six-piston Brembo brake calipers with the STI logo, fender inserts, mirror covers and a shark fin antenna. The numbered badging continues on the inside, which also features Recaro sports bucket front seats with silver highlights, an Ultrasuede steering wheel and a carbon fibre-look instrument panel. The Limited-Edition WRX will also only be available in three colours – WR Blue Pearl (50 units), Crystal White Pearl (15 units), and Crystal Black Silica (10 units).

As the first model to be produced (March 1985 – February 1986) represented Holden’s increasing efforts in Group A racing. Available only in blue associated with the corporate colours of the Holden Dealer Team’s principle sponsor Mobil, which gave rise to the cars nickname, the “Blue Meanie”. Production began in early 1985, but part supply problems saw the HDT fail to build the required number of 500 and it missed the 1 August deadline for it to be eligible for racing that year. Production still continued and the VK SS Group A was available for motor racing from 1 January 1986. 502 cars were available only through Holden Dealer Team-affiliated Holden dealerships. Visually the VK Group A SS had the addition of a rear spoiler, larger front air dam and a more aggressive front grill over the standard VK Commodore. Other changes included a double row timing chain (eliminating the car’s inherent weakness of 1985, a single row chain), as well as stronger conrods and suspension mountings. Power for the road going Group A SS with its 4.9- litre engine was rated at 196 kW (263 hp) at 5200 rpm, with a top speed of 215 km/h (134 mph). Transmission options were four-speed M21 manual, or optional five-speed Getrag T5. (The T5G transmission WAS NOT an option with the VK Group A – some cars did get it fitted at Bertie Street by SPECIAL arrangement with HDT) It was dealer fitted! The car was assembled at Dandenong, Victoria by Holden and modified at Bertie Street Port Melbourne by HDT.
Muscle Car Warehouse is very proud to present what is undoubtedly one of the most renown models of the Brock range, the VK Group A, or more commonly known as “THE BLUE MEANIE”. As of late one of the most replicated Aussie muscle cars! This example is build number 248 and is in beautiful condition. The paintwork on the vehicle is mostly original as per factory with the exception of the front bumper bar, bonnet and lower sill panels. These areas have been repainted due to general wear and tear (stone chips). The condition of the paintwork presents extremely well for a car of its age. The trim of the vehicle presents well above average and again consistent with all other areas of the car. It presents all original and with only very minimal wear and tear to items such as steering wheel, gear knob and drivers seat. The only modification being an aftermarket Alpine branded stereo although original Eurovox stereo is included with the sale of the vehicle and is an easily reversed modification. This Brock still has all its (5) original 16×7 Aero rims with centre caps included. Four of the five wheels have recently been refurbished along with (5) new Bridgestone Potenza tyres. It has been verified that the original matching number engine is still in the vehicle with the only modifications being a genuine Holden over the counter 355 cubic inch crankshaft, comparable Brock specification roller camshaft, aftermarket inlet manifold, carburettor, extractors, aluminium rocker covers and the addition of a genuine HDT cold air induction. Please note, all genuine parts that have been removed from the engine are also included with the sale of the vehicle and again can be reversed to maintain originality. The transmission in the vehicle has been upgraded from the original “M21” four speed unit to a more desirable genuine HDT “T5G” five speed transmission. All associated items e.g. bellhousing are also genuine HDT items. The vehicle was originally retailed through United Motors, Adelaide on the 2nd of August, 1985 and has only had three owners since. This car still retains its original logbook, owners manual, radio manual as well as an extensive amount of other associated paperwork including the original purchase receipt. Two sets of original keys including master key and two alarm pads are also included. Originally issued South Australian number plates (UTG-888) are also included. The odometer reads just over 167,000 kilometres. Now available for inspection by video call at our Kogarah facility.
