Starting out as a South African XY GT therefore equipped with genuine GT items such as the radiator support and exhaust hangers. Using mostly new parts throughout the restoration this XY is most certainly on the higher end of the scale when it comes to GT replicas. Prior to the Surfer Orange colour being laid down a windback sunroof was supplied and fitted by “Option 10” which definitely adds desirability. All the chrome and mouldings were also re done prior to fitment. New stripes and badges have also been fitted. Under the hood lives the original 351 4V “D” block Cleveland engine stroked to 408 cubic inches housing a host of goodies that result in a whopping 507 horsepower at the wheels. A Top Loader four speed gearbox and genuine XY length 9” help get that power to the ground. No stone was left unturned when it came to the interior neither, with retrimmed seats, new rooflining and carpet as well as door trims. Still retains the genuine Super Fringe push button radio also. As you would expect the car rides on 5 slot wheels with red wall tyres. Look underneath and you will see a beautifully detailed undercarriage with all parts either restored or replaced. Muscle Car Warehouse is now offering this 1970 Ford Falcon XW GTHO Phase II. This exact car was purchased by George Altomonte, the owner of Alto Ford in Sydney’s north for employee Bob Holden to race in the 1970 endurance events at Sandown and Bathurst. Bob Holden retired from the Sandown 3 hour with a mechanical issue after 52 laps. Bob Holden finished 14th at Bathurst after constant brake issues during the race. Driving solo, he finished 7 laps behind winner Allan Moffat. Like many cars of the era, it was sold and used on the road. It found its way to back to Australia from New Zealand in 2017. It has been restored to its Bathurst 1970 livery including roll cage and racing harness. Entered in both the 2017 and 2023 Falcon GT Nationals events. The GTHO has undergone a restoration at some time and as the pictures show, still presents beautifully. The opportunity to purchase a car with such provenance rarely arises. This 1985 Holden VK Calais is a fantastic and affordable entry level car into the muscle car scene. Additional to this is the added rarity of it being an original “334 Pack” which means that it is was not only fitted with a Holden V8 5 litre engine, but it was also factory ordered with a four-speed manual transmission. Something not often seen as a Calais was predominately a luxury style car. The renown tu-tone paint scheme, in this case Alpine White over silver with its original “Light Oyster” interior. Riding on retro 20-inch MOMO rims but also comes with 15-inch HDT Aero rims. The only other changes to the car are the fitment of an aftermarket stereo and tinted windows. This Calais a nicely presented example that is ready for lots of summer cruising. Please contact one of our friendly staff to make an appointment to view this car.
In the somewhat wet 1972 Hardie-Ferodo 500, the lightweight HDT Torana GTR XU-1 claimed victory against the heavyweight GT-HO, driven solo for 500 miles (800 km) by Peter Brock. This would be the start of the ‘Peter Perfect’/Torana legend, and the first of five Bathurst wins for the Torana in its colourful 10-year racing career at Bathurst. This beautifully restored example is a great representation of the LJ GTR XU-1 model. The factory colour, Patina Gold is unique and displays elegance to this little pocket rocket. Sitting on period correct Sprint Master mags. Sporting the original black vinyl interior which is still in fantastic condition. Under the hood is the matching number 202 “JP” straight six engine with triple carbs. The XU-1 was produced in February of 1973 and sold in March of 1973 through City Auto Sales PTY. LTD. In Toowoomba, Queensland. An extensive amount of paperwork comes with the car too. Showing just under 47,000 miles. This XBGT was entered and issued with a Cannonball Run number plate, 240. The race covered 3,755 kilometres stretching from Darwin, down the Stuart Highway all the way to Alice Springs. The 1994 Cannonball Run was a legal event run in the Northern Territory, Australia from 22 May to 27 May 1994. Being built in May of 1976 makes this car special also as it is one of only 13 cars finished in Outback Bronze with Walnut Glow accents. The saddle trim also presents nicely. It still wears its original 12 slots wheels with centre caps as well as other original items such as the radio cassette and long-range tank. Currently running a healthy 351 4V Cleveland (JG66 XAGT block) which sounds awesome through the side exiting exhaust and backed by a four speed Top Loader and 9” diff. Overall this is a solid car and ready to race! Please contact one of our friendly staff to make an appointment to view this car at our Kogarah showroom.
The Ford XW Falcon GTHO Phase II is arguably the toughest of all the GTHO models Ford made. With all of the 267 examples produced having “solid” 351 4V Cleveland engines, 31 spline Top Loader gearboxes and differentials. Falcon GT enthusiasts would argue that the Phase II is their favourite. This example, restored approximately 15 years ago in its original colour of Diamond White with saddle interior. It was originally delivered to Duhig Ford in Essendon, Victoria and was built in August of 1970. The only variations from original are a pair of extractors, paired with a stainless-steel exhaust system and a Phase III style brake vacuum tank. The original exhaust manifolds are included with the sale. The car was entered in the 2009 Falcon GT Nationals where it took out second place in its class. Also included in the sale of the vehicle is a display stand and board. Contact one of our friendly staff to make an appointment to view this GTHO at our Kogarah facility.
As time goes on, finding muscle cars sitting in sheds is becoming more and more difficult. This Ford Falcon XB GT is one of them. Hiding in a shed in western New South Wales since 1987!! Since being unearthed the car has been left totally untouched, dust and all!! Underneath the layers of dirt is the highly desirable Red Pepper colour. The body presents in excellent condition for its age and is extremely solid, probably due it the car being stored for so long in a dry climate. The interior presents nicely and is all original, right down to the Super Fringe push button radio. A genuine boot release has been added. Mechanically the car still runs its original matching number 351 Cleveland engine together with a four-speed manual gearbox and a 9-inch diff. Other features consist of a long-range fuel tank and the genuine boot mat. The car starts and runs and could be put back on the road with only minor mechanical work. ACCHS report included verifying factory options. Rarely do muscle cars like this become available. They are only original once!! Now available for inspection by appointment at our Kogarah facility.

The list of authentic parts extends to a correct 780 Holley carburettor, brake proportioning valve, vacuum tank and boot mounted rear spoiler. This whole car was built from the ground up in house at Muscle Car Warehouse with no stone left unturned. After being treated to a complete respray the car was carefully assembled using all new or refurbished parts. Atop of all this the car has been fitted with a factory Golde windback sunroof. The driveline consists of nothing else than a 351 4v Cleveland, four speed Top Loader gearbox and of course a 9” diff. In August 1970, the first ultra-performance Torana, the GTR XU-1, was developed by Holden along with Harry Firth of the Holden Dealer Team for competition in popular Series Production touring car racing within Australia. This car, built in February of 1971 is a super honest example with only very minimal alterations, only being the front seatbelts and the addition of a five-speed gearbox. The original gearbox and associated items are included with the sale of the car. Originally delivered through Kevin Dennis Motors and owned by Kevin himself who is believed to have campaigned the car in motorsport events up until 1973 when it changed hands to the second owner. The eye popping Plumdinger paintwork has been redone at some point of the cars life and still presents nicely. Inside, although showing signs of wear and tear is completely original and could either be redone or left as is by the next owner. Under the hood is the genuine matching number six-cylinder 186 engine with most of its original components which has recently been rebuilt. Still retaining its original issued Victorian number plates as well as documentation. Now available for inspection by appointment at our Kogarah facility.
The XT Falcon range was introduced in March 1968 as a facelifted version of the XR Falcon, which it replaced. The XT featured a revised grille and taillights and improved safety features including split-system brakes, larger tyres, and electrically operated windscreen washers. Standard equipment in the luxury Fairmont models included bucket seats, front disc brakes, a heater/demister, a wood-grain dash, carpet, and courtesy lamps in all four doors. The Fairmont Wagon featured an electrically operated tailgate. The Ford Falcon (XT) is a full-size car that was produced by Ford Australia from 1968 to 1969. It was the second iteration of the second generation of the Falcon and also included the Ford Fairmont (XT)—the luxury-oriented version. An XT Falcon GT driven by Bill Gates and Jim Bertram scored an outright victory in the 1969 Rothmans 12 Hour Classic race for production cars at Surfers Paradise International Raceway on 5 January 1969. A team of three XT Falcon GTs won the Teams prize in the 1968 London-Sydney Marathon, finishing 3rd, 6th and 8th outright.
Ripe for restoration!! Muscle Car Warehouse are super excited to bring to the market this Ford Falcon XT GT “Shed Find.” This car has been unregistered and unused since 1989. This XT is the perfect entry level car into the Falcon GT market and a great base for restoration. The car was sold through Centenery Ford, Brunswick Victoria on the 28th of January 1969. It is also one of 397 XT GTs to be made in G.T Gold and one of only 1415 XTGTs produced altogether. The XT has been painted externally only at some stage of its life, but all other areas are as original and without any modifications. Inside is the standard factory black interior which is all original too with all the original hard to get pieces still intact. Even the factory radio still works as it did when the car left the showroom floor. The body of the car is extremely clean with only very minimal signs of rust and or previous rust repairs or major accidents. Under the bonnet is the original matching number 302 Windsor 4V engine that still hosts most of its original components which is coupled up to the original four speed Top Loader transmission and then finally to the 8 ¾ inch diff. The engine starts and runs extremely well having only travelled a mere 94000 miles. So again, if you are in the market for a great entry level Falcon GT that you can tinker with in the shed this is certainly one to be considered. Now available for inspection by appointment only in our Kogarah facility.
Muscle Car Warehouse offer for sale this beautiful Ford Falcon XA GT Sedan. This XA GT is finished in Calypso Green, a colour also displayed on the famous one and only production XA GT HO Phase IV. The paintwork is in terrific condition and has all the GT blackouts including the black bonnet. Additionally, it has both front and rear spoilers and sits perfectly on period correct Bathurst Globe wheels and red wall tyres although the only factory options fitted to this car were laminated windscreen and the Superfringe Deluxe push button radio. The black interior is in great condition also and still houses an original radio and steering wheel. An aftermarket air conditioning unit has been added along with power steering for added comfort and driveability. Being built in July of 1972 means this XA GT is running the more desirable “D” block version of the 351 Cleveland engine and is still the original matching number engine and 4V heads. The car is also an original four speed car and is still running a Top Loder gearbox and nine-inch diff. This combination is extremely desirable and is one of seventeen XA GT sedans delivered from Reg Wright Ford. Redcliffe, Queensland and one of only three built in this same build specification. Now available for inspection by appointment only at our Kogarah facility.
The XR series was introduced in September 1966. The XR series was initially offered in nine different models: Falcon, Falcon 500, and Fairmont sedans, Falcon, Falcon 500, and Fairmont wagons, Falcon and Falcon 500 utilities, and the Falcon Van. The new wagons shared the 111-inch (2,800 mm) wheelbase with the XR sedans, unlike the 1966 US Falcon wagons which featured a 115-inch (2,900 mm) wheelbase. The Falcon 500 replaced the Falcon Deluxe of the XP series[2] and the two-door hardtop body style available in the XP series was not offered in the XR range in Australia. The marketing focus on the Falcon’s relationship with the Mustang’s sporty appeal led to Ford introducing a Falcon GT variant of the XR in 1967, featuring a 225 bhp version of the 289 cubic inch Windsor V8 engine, sourced from the Ford Mustang. The GT heralded the dawn of the Aussie muscle car. All the original XR GTs were painted in the colour GT Gold, except for eight that were Gallaher Silver and another five that were Russet Bronze, Sultan Maroon, Polar White, Avis White, and Ivy Green.
Muscle Car Warehouse are excited to now offer for sale this 1967 Ford Falcon XR GT. The car that started the muscle car craze in Australia back in 1967. Believed to be one of only 596 examples made by Ford Australia and rarely offered for sale. This example was built in August of 1967 and with some minor repairs and maintenance would make a nice weekend cruiser or if you chose to, restore, and add to your collection. This XR GT appears to have had a full in and out respray in its original GT Gold colour at some stage of its life and is now showing signs of aging. Original Gt badges and hubcaps are still retained on the vehicle. While also displaying signs of wear and tear the interior in this car appears to have never been redone and is all original including the gear shifter with lock out reverse function, original steering wheel, dash, and gauges too. The 289 V8 Windsor engine runs well but has been replaced and is not the original matching number item. The four-speed manual transmission and diff are original also. New South Wales issued “XR GT” number plates included with the car. Also still with the car is the original identification plate. Now available for inspection by appointment at our Kogarah facility.
March 1974 had the first completely new Torana body, with the arrival of the larger mid-sized LH series, produced in four-door sedan style only. Despite the larger external size, the car was relatively cramped by mid-1970s standards. The 5.0-litre engine was reserved for the sporting LH Torana SL/R 5000 sedan. A special build derivative of the SL/R 5000 was the Bathurst-intended ‘L34 Option’, of which only 263 were built, with a higher-compression engine with stouter components for more power and durability in competition use. The most notable external feature of the L34 was the bolt-on wheel arch extensions, designed to accommodate the larger racing rims and tyres. Overall, a total of 70,184 LH Toranas was built. A few special models of the LH were built, the somewhat sporting Plus 4 and G-Pak models. The Plus 4 arrived in September 1974 and was an attempt to move a few more of the slow-selling four-cylinder models. The G-Pak, first seen in February 1975, received the 3.3-litre inline-six. Both came with a four-speed manual, sporting instrumentation, and disc brakes in front.
How cool is this?! A stunning representation of the SL/R L32 Torana. One of the very few that has survived in untouched condition. No flares, no spoilers, no drop tank, and factory ordered in attractive Chrome Yellow this beautiful Torana is an absolute pleasure to see as it is. Having only being repainted in the last three years with only very minimal rust repairs and body work required. All the original badging was replaced and blackouts re done to factory specifications. Even the original hubcaps were retained. Open the doors and you are again treated to totally original “19X” black vinyl interior except for the front two seats which were recovered at the same time the car was repainted. The car is displaying just over 74,000 kilometres and the condition of the car matches that perfectly. Under the bonnet is also the original 253 4.2 litre Holden V8 engine without any major modifications. The gearbox is the original M20 unit and shifts through the gears as it should. This beautiful Torana is a stunning example of an L32 and is perfect for weekend cruising and club events. Now available for inspection by appointment only in our Kogarah facility.
Muscle Car Warehouse are proud to bring to the market this lovely L34 Holden LH Torana. Built in July of 1974 and finished in striking Chrome Yellow. A set of genuine V5 three-piece Simmons are available with the car by negotiation. The interior is mostly original and still in good condition for its age with the only addition being two aftermarket gauges. Under the bonnet is a 308 “HZ” engine still featuring its original dizzy, twin coils, headers and with upgrades such as a Holley 650 double pumper carburettor and a solid lifter cam. Behind that is the original gearbox and diff. This L34 is believed to have had only four owners with the current owner since 2016. Includes original L34 supplement and Holden Historical Services paperwork. This beautiful L34 Torana is now available by appointment only or via video call at our Kogarah facility.

This tidy example presented in desirable Starlight Blue was painted 9 years ago by the previous owner in its factory colour combo Starlight Blue/ Black trim which still presents in stunning condition throughout with all its correct glass retained. Sold between March 1972 and September 1973, the XA series was the first Falcon to be designed (with assistance from Ford’s US headquarters) and manufactured in Australia. It featured an entirely new body which was larger and more roomy than that of its XY series predecessor, giving it the “coke-bottle” look. The XA range also had a longer list of options, although the choice of engines carried over from the previous XY Falcon range. All V8 302 CID and most 351 CID “Cleveland” engines were now Aussie made. Wagons, Utes, and Panel Vans now featured a longer wheelbase than the sedan. Fairmont wagons had a dual-action tailgate that could be opened either downwards or sideways, optional on base model Falcon and Falcon 500 Wagons. The addition of a two-door hardtop to the range marked the first time that this body style had been offered on an Australian Falcon since the XP series of 1965–1966. This option was available in the subsequent XB and XC models, though very scarce. A total of 129,473 XAs were built. While successful, the XA Falcon range proved to be short-lived as it gained a significant frontal appearance update to become the XB series in September 1973.

As the first model to be produced (March 1985 – February 1986) represented Holden’s increasing efforts in Group A racing. Available only in blue associated with the corporate colours of the Holden Dealer Team’s principle sponsor Mobil, which gave rise to the cars nickname, the “Blue Meanie”. Production began in early 1985, but part supply problems saw the HDT fail to build the required number of 500 and it missed the 1 August deadline for it to be eligible for racing that year. Production still continued and the VK SS Group A was available for motor racing from 1 January 1986. 502 cars were available only through Holden Dealer Team-affiliated Holden dealerships. Visually the VK Group A SS had the addition of a rear spoiler, larger front air dam and a more aggressive front grill over the standard VK Commodore. Other changes included a double row timing chain (eliminating the car’s inherent weakness of 1985, a single row chain), as well as stronger conrods and suspension mountings. Power for the road going Group A SS with its 4.9- litre engine was rated at 196 kW (263 hp) at 5200 rpm, with a top speed of 215 km/h (134 mph). Transmission options were four-speed M21 manual, or optional five-speed Getrag T5. (The T5G transmission WAS NOT an option with the VK Group A – some cars did get it fitted at Bertie Street by SPECIAL arrangement with HDT) It was dealer fitted! The car was assembled at Dandenong, Victoria by Holden and modified at Bertie Street Port Melbourne by HDT.
Muscle Car Warehouse is very proud to present what is undoubtedly one of the most renown models of the Brock range, the VK Group A, or more commonly known as “THE BLUE MEANIE”. As of late one of the most replicated Aussie muscle cars! This example is build number 248 and is in beautiful condition. The paintwork on the vehicle is mostly original as per factory with the exception of the front bumper bar, bonnet and lower sill panels. These areas have been repainted due to general wear and tear (stone chips). The condition of the paintwork presents extremely well for a car of its age. The trim of the vehicle presents well above average and again consistent with all other areas of the car. It presents all original and with only very minimal wear and tear to items such as steering wheel, gear knob and drivers seat. The only modification being an aftermarket Alpine branded stereo although original Eurovox stereo is included with the sale of the vehicle and is an easily reversed modification. This Brock still has all its (5) original 16×7 Aero rims with centre caps included. Four of the five wheels have recently been refurbished along with (5) new Bridgestone Potenza tyres. It has been verified that the original matching number engine is still in the vehicle with the only modifications being a genuine Holden over the counter 355 cubic inch crankshaft, comparable Brock specification roller camshaft, aftermarket inlet manifold, carburettor, extractors, aluminium rocker covers and the addition of a genuine HDT cold air induction. Please note, all genuine parts that have been removed from the engine are also included with the sale of the vehicle and again can be reversed to maintain originality. The transmission in the vehicle has been upgraded from the original “M21” four speed unit to a more desirable genuine HDT “T5G” five speed transmission. All associated items e.g. bellhousing are also genuine HDT items. The vehicle was originally retailed through United Motors, Adelaide on the 2nd of August, 1985 and has only had three owners since. This car still retains its original logbook, owners manual, radio manual as well as an extensive amount of other associated paperwork including the original purchase receipt. Two sets of original keys including master key and two alarm pads are also included. Originally issued South Australian number plates (UTG-888) are also included. The odometer reads just over 167,000 kilometres. Now available for inspection by video call at our Kogarah facility.
There was just 1585 XY Fairmont Gts built for the South African market during 71-72, which followed on from a handful of the previous generation of XW Fairmont GTs. This was Ford Australia’s export version of the Falcon GT, which had a number of unique features distinguishing it from its Australian counterpart. As opposed to the “Super Roo”, the South African GT is known as the “Super Rhino” There are two reasons the Gt’s were badged Fairmont GT in South Africa; 1. South Africa never had a Falcon at the time, only Fairmont XR and XT. Therefore to keep the model name continuing, when the XW and XY GT’s were sold there, they re-badged them to be a Fairmont GT. 2. South Africa had imported a Canadian Falcon in the late 60’s. They had a bad reputation on reliability and build therefore Ford South Africa made the decision to re-badge them to a Fairmont GT For more information and history on the “Super Rhino” visit website https://www.safairmontgt.com.au/history/
This car was imported from South African in 2004 to Queensland. Then it was sold in 2004 to current owner. The car is presented in Everglade Green with black XY GT Falcon spec trim. Running a 351 4v Cleveland and backed by a 4 speed top loader gearbox and 9 inch diff. There have been a couple of changes to the cars original specifications, such as a toploader replacing the factory auto, Falcon Gt stripes instead of the Super Rhino stripes, XY GT Falcon trim instead of Futura trim. The car is rust free and drives well, perfect for an enthusiast who appreciates the significance of these rare GT’s. Car is available for viewing in our Kogarah facility.
