Now proudly for sale at Muscle Car Warehouse is this 1970 Ford XW Falcon GT. Originally delivered to Central Motors (Reg Wright Ford) in Redcliffe, Queensland on the 7th of April 1970. Built in one of the best colours offered in the XW range, Starlight Blue together with Dark Saddle interior. Adding desirability is the fact the car is fitted with its matching number Cleveland engine and a factory fitted Top Loader manual transmission. One of five built with these exact specifications. Sitting on nothing other than five slot wheels. Although an older restoration the car still presents beautifully because of minimal use by the current (fourth) owner of approximately 18 years. Full history is known on the car, which is included in the sale as well as a Ford verification letter, ACCHS report, some receipts, owner’s manual and old photos. Now available for sale is what could easily be described as one of the best Mazda RX3 Coupes in the country. Every aspect of this car is day one original and honestly hard to believe. There is not a single modification on this car. Originally imported to New Zealand from Japan and then here to Australia approximately nine years ago and since being in Australia has only had two very careful owners. A full feature on the RX3 was published in issue 49 of Survivor Car Magazine. Running its original 10A engine with original four speed manual transmission that runs and sounds just like it did the day it rolled off the showroom floor. Shortly after the GSII Series III the model was renamed to the “GT” which then ran the 12A engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Factory fitted with a working 8 track radio, air conditioning, safety flare, original plastics on all door trims, unused genuine Mazda seat covers, snow chains and even the brand-new spare wheel and tyre! Comes with logbook, owner’s manual, sales brochure and other literature and paperwork are included with the car too. Some would argue that the “Big Port” XB GTs were the last of the true muscle cars of the era. Only 139 examples produced at the beginning of the XB range to be fitted with both 4V heads along with the Top Loader four speed gearbox. What makes this one that little bit more special is the fact it is mostly untouched and somewhat of a survivor. Still wearing all its original Red Pepper paint and blackouts. Sitting on its original 12 slot wheels with dress rims and correct centre caps. Extremely solid car with no signs of any accident damage. Recently received a silver award at the 2025 Falcon GT Nationals in Shepparton, Victoria. The car has only ever had three owners, with the current one owning the car for 27 years. Further to this the car has only travelled approximately 48,000 miles and only a mere 4,000 miles in current ownership. Even still has its original first registered number plates, original purchase receipt and Ford verification. Boot area still houses the genuine rubber boot mat and even the original Goodyear G800 red wall tyre on the spare wheel. A great opportunity to secure an honest example of this model.
