In 2007, Ford drew inspiration from the hallowed names of the past and recreated a legend with the limited-edition FPV GT Cobra. Released at the Sydney Motor Show in both sedan and ute models, the new GT celebrated the Cobra name last seen in the Seventies on the famous white and blue XC hardtops that scored a memorable victory at Bathurst in 1977. Indeed, the latest Cobra was unveiled on a parade lap of Mount Panorama before the 2007 Bathurst 1000, exactly 30 years after Colin Bond and Allan Moffat’s triumphant 1-2 finish. As with the first generation Cobra’s, just 400 individually numbered examples of the new FPV GT Cobra sedan were made available, snapped up by enthusiasts, many of whom already owned one of the original XC Cobras. Here today Muscle Car Warehouse would like to offer for sale this beautiful example of a sort after modern day collectable, the BF Falcon GT Cobra!! Having only travelled a mere 33,000 kilometres it presents in beautiful condition inside and out. From the “in your face nostalgic” white / blue Cobra paint scheme to the gorgeous interior this car is one to be tucked away or alternatively to be enjoyed on the weekends. Adding to the collectability is the 6speed manual transmission and the super low build number being 005/400 with all the modern day creature comforts, retaining the ford compendium and original logbooks this future classic is for the true enthusiast or investor. The styling of the 1968 Camaro was very similar to the 1967 design. With the introduction of Astro Ventilation, a fresh-air-inlet system, the side vent windows were deleted. Side marker lights were added on the front and rear fenders which was a government requirement for all 1968 vehicles. It also had a more pointed front grille and divided rear taillights. The front running lights (on non-RS models) were also changed from circular to oval.

The AC Cobra, sold in the United States as the Shelby Cobra and AC Shelby Cobra, is a sports car manufactured by British company AC Cars, with a Ford V8 engine. It was produced intermittently in both the UK and later the USA since 1962. With some help from Ford Motor Company and a small team of mechanics, the first Shelby Cobra was introduced in 1962. It was powered by Ford’s 260 engine, and later with the 289 and 427 V8, and it pretty soon took the sports car world by a storm. The combination of lightweight body, small dimensions and brute US power proved to be revolutionary and the car did extremely well in competition all around the world.
This modern day version of the AC Cobra was manufactured by the “Kit Car Centre” in Boksburg, South Africa. The Kit Car Centre built these Cobra’s from 1982 through to 2003 before being bought out by Backdraft Racing. They are longer and wider for added comfort also. It is believed all of them were fitted with Chev engines just like the one we have here which is fitted with a 454 big block Chev engine!! Atop of this big block monster is Hilborn style electronic fuel injection with MSD ignition and aluminium heads producing in excess of 300kw at the rear wheels!! The transmission is a Turbo 400 and the diff is a Ford 9” running Porsche brakes and four link suspension. This beast is not for the faint hearted!! On the outside the Cobra is nothing but eye popping!! From the iconic Blue and white striped Cobra theme, larger flares and huge bonnet scoop to the period correct Halibrand pin drive centre lock wheels and master side pipes!! Inside is black leather covered seats, racing harnesses, period correct gauges and steering wheel. Harness yourself in for the ride of your life!! When released the all new Holden Commodore VT Series 1 (1997 – 1999), budget time and emission restrictions would mean that we would see development cease on the locally built Holden V8 and it would be the last time in history that we would see a local built Holden / HSV powered vehicle. When released in 1997 the HSV VT GTS Series 1 was ahead of it’s time and offered unrivalled performance across Australia and 99% of performance sedans of the world, Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson stated the VT GTS Series 1 as almost being a twin to the Austin Martin Vantage and a reminder of the Lotus Carlton. But Most importantly, it is the LAST of the true Aussie Built HSV muscle cars. Sure, the Series 2 and later model LS engines produce more power; but you just can’t deny that the Holden motor is one of the sweetest things you will ever hear and not many can beat the sound of that Lion-Hearted, Aussie Built Holden Stroker. Does it get any better?! This would have to be top of the ladder as far as the VT HSV range goes. From its vibrant Sting Red paintwork to the optional Pewter coloured leather interior this VT GTS ticks all the boxes. Adding to the desirability is the ever so popular electric sunroof. Power is supplied by the 5.7 later stroker engine (producing 220KW) available in the GTS model and backed by a 6-speed manual transmission. The build number on this GTS is #294 of 399 units released. Of them, 263 were fitted with the M34 code manual transmission. The only modifications to this GTS is an upgraded “SS Inductions” branded airbox (original one included, see pictures) and an immobiliser. Sounds as good as it looks!! It also still retains its original logbooks and owners manual. So if you want a little bit old school Aussie V8 power mixed with new school HSV comfort and collectability contact Muscle Car Warehouse today to arrange a video inspection.
In 1993, the significantly redesigned VR Senator was released. The rear seating was from the Holden Statesman. Along with the rest of the HSV range, the Senator body kit was penned by designer Ian Callum to produce a sleeker, more aggressive stance along with a 185 kW (248 hp) version of the 5.0-litre V8. A new suspension setup was developed, known as the touring package which aimed to provide capable handling and a smooth ride. Additionally, from May 1994 onwards, the Senator could be optioned with HSV’s new 215 kW (288 hp) 5.7-litre “stroker” V8 known as the “215i”. The $10,000 “stroker” engine option was hand built as an upgrade over the standard V8. This engine could be coupled to either the four-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. The total number built for both versions was 855.

In early 1963, General Motors' management banned divisions from involvement in auto racing. This followed the 1957 voluntary ban on automobile racing that was instituted by the Automobile Manufacturers Association. By the early 1960s, Pontiac's advertising and marketing approach was heavily based on performance. With GM's ban on factory-sponsored racing, Pontiac's managers began to emphasize street performance. The GTO underwent a few styling changes in 1967. The louver-covered taillights were replaced with eight taillights, four on each side. Rally II wheels with coloured lug nuts were also available in 1967. The GTO emblems located on the rear part of the fenders were moved to the chrome rocker panels. The grille was changed from a purely split grille to one that shared some chrome. The 1967 GTO was available in three body styles.
If you are a fan of American Muscle cars, then this is the car for you! Beautifully presented 1967 Pontiac GTO. The facelifted VS series Maloo utility was released in April 1995. 173 examples were produced. It featured a 5.0-litre V8 engine still producing 185 Kw. The Series II version was introduced in June 1996 and carried through in its original form to August 1997, during which time 280 examples were produced. The last HSV update of the VS Maloo followed Holden's release of a VS Series III Ute that, for the first time, included a V8 SS version. In 1999, HSV introduced an improved VS III Maloo with a wiring upgrade to support the revised 195 kW V8. The VS III Maloo's legacy is to be the last HSV vehicle to be fitted with the 'original' Holden V8 engine.

There was just 1585 XY Fairmont Gts built for the South African market during 71-72, which followed on from a handful of the previous generation of XW Fairmont GTs. This was Ford Australia’s export version of the Falcon GT, which had a number of unique features distinguishing it from its Australian counterpart. As opposed to the “Super Roo”, the South African GT is known as the “Super Rhino” There are two reasons the Gt’s were badged Fairmont GT in South Africa; 1. South Africa never had a Falcon at the time, only Fairmont XR and XT. Therefore to keep the model name continuing, when the XW and XY GT’s were sold there, they re-badged them to be a Fairmont GT. 2. South Africa had imported a Canadian Falcon in the late 60’s. They had a bad reputation on reliability and build therefore Ford South Africa made the decision to re-badge them to a Fairmont GT For more information and history on the “Super Rhino” visit website https://www.safairmontgt.com.au/history/

The VL SS Group A was the second car built for Group A racing purposes by HDT and also numbered 500 in total. First released in 1986 and only offered in Permanent Red paint code, was also the launch of the new Unleaded V8 (4.987 Litre V8 Overhead valve, 2 valves per cylinder. Bore x Stroke (mm): 101.6 x 76.8. Compression ratio: 8.5:1. Max Power: (DIN)137kw @ 4400rpm and 345nm at 3200rpm. Max recommended rpm 5600). Due to the controversial Energy Polariser fiasco between Brock & Holden there was actually two versions of the Group A. Holden could see no technical merit in the Polariser and thus refused to fit it to the cars, so Brock refused to put decals with his signature on cars without it. As a result, Brock’s signature only appears on the higher spec Plus Pack variant, which is roughly 173 of the 500 built. This VL SS Group A being built number 419/500 may have the polariser fitted and Brock’s decal signatures affix to the vehicle but isn’t documented as one of the 173 that officially are. Registered with NSW custom plate 71-GTF , with reference to the build number 71/500 still smells BRAND NEW and presents in PRISTINE condition throughout
This is far from a computer-tickle-and-decals special. The small but passionate teams at FPV wanted to go out with a BANG and something iconic, not just cosmetics and marketing waffle, and as a result, the GT-F boasts the best hardware available from FPV running a 5.0Lt V8 Supercharged producing 351KW.
It follows the same format as 2012’s GT R-Spec, featuring its mixed-width wheel and tyre package (including 19 x 9.0-inch rear alloys wearing 275/30R19 Dunlops) and the now-discontinued GT-P’s premium brakes – 355mm cross-drilled front discs with six-piston Brembo calipers, and 330mm cross-drilled rears with four-piston Brembo calipers.
GT-F’s suspension tune also mirrors the R-Spec – higher spring rates, re-tuned Sachs monotube dampers, stiffer front upper control arm bushes, stiffer upper suspension mounts, a larger 19mm rear anti-roll bar, reinforced rear lower control arms and a revised toe setting on the rear wheel alignment to improve turn-in, plus stiffer transmission mounts to “reduce powertrain and driveline movement under load”. GT-F’s blacked-out styling package – gloss-black ‘raccoon eyes’, full black upper grille, black-bezel headlights and tail-lights, black door handles, a big gloss-black rear spoiler, and a gloss-black diffuser. Then there’s the stripe package, which the designers used to enhance the Falcon’s shape. So the GT-F gets a wide, matte-black over-body stripe – reminiscent of the anti-reflective matte-black bonnets of 1960s and ’70s race cars – flanked by a thinner pair of stripes, and matte-black inserts into the scallops in the lower doors. Familiar as the Falcon shape may be, the GT-F’s look is tough and recognisably different. Interior is special with GT embroidered suede and leather accented seats which wrap around your body to give you that ultimate drive experience complimented with orange stitching throughout, the instrument dials with orange-striped faces gives the feel of that European race with 351 logos , as is the large centre touch screen has unique digital dials among them is a G-force metre, the GT-F intro screen with build number. So as it stands, the GT-F is a pretty special car and a good example of a true Australian muscle car. Now available to view at our Kogarah facility.

With most car enthusiasts, the legendary Torana A9X remains the ultimate Aussie muscle car ever produced by Holden, which is highly sought after by all collectors and car enthusiast’s as one of the most iconic Aussie muscle cars built on our home soil. Which also bares an Aboriginal name (Torana) which means to FLY and this particular model sure did that by being a podium winner for consecutive years at Mount Panorama in the Bathurst 1000. This history making machine may have been a slower seller of the mid 70’s due to 4door sedans which were in high demand at the time, with only 100 available in the hatch version they were certainly going to become a classic collectors item as they sure have.
During 1977 the LX series Torana was introduced to the market with a performance package, ‘A9X Option’ which was available on the 5.0-litre V8-powered SLR 5000 sedan and SS hatchback models. The A9X visually resembled the L34-optioned LH model, but with the addition of a rear-facing bonnet scoop designed to increase airflow into the engine bay (carburettor) to produce maximum power in motor racing applications. The A9X package varied from the old L34 in road form in that whilst the engine was not modified, the A9X nevertheless had some special mechanical features such as rear disc brakes, heavy-duty axles, and a heavy-duty ’10 bolt’ differential.
After being rushed into Group C touring car racing by Peter Brock’s HDT team, gave the A9X a dream debut at Sandown Raceway in 1977 outright winner but wasn’t so lucky at the Bathurst 1000 for that year. The A9X was soon refined by HDT and proved dominant during the following two seasons of touring-car racing in Australia. Peter Brock was victorious in the 1978 and 1979 Australian Touring Car Championships and Bathurst 1000’s . In a show of the A9X’s superiority, Brock and Richards won the 1979 Bathurst 1000 race by a record six laps, with Brock setting the touring-car lap record on the last lap of the race and being labelled KING OF THE MOUNTAIN.

Now a 3rd owner vehicle, which has been well looked after and preserved by all custodians which still presents in stunning condition, also quoted as one of the greatest A9X’s that still remain on our roads today by the A9X Torana Owners Association of Australia. Guesstimated by the (A9X TOAA) that only 50% of A9X hatch’s throughout Australia still survive making this particular vehicle among the rarest Aussie classics. Presented in Jasmine Yellow with contrasting Slate Black vinyl trim and all matching numbers (L31) 308 V8, M21 4speed manual gear box and 3.08:1 diff retaining all its original glass, rare brake air ducts, Log books / owners manual, all service history GMH Authenticity Letter, Warranty card and magazine featured articles, ridding on its original day one A9X wheels with codes visible on all rims including spare wheel in boot plus the bonus HATCH HUTCH in its original case stored away in the boot. The XA model first introduced in (1972-1973), a totally new design, was the first Falcon completely designed and built in Australia , designers had the opportunity of designing a (pillar-less variant) and a more ‘Australianised’ car. The result was a bulky coke bottle design, sleek in appearance featuring a bigger body, roomy interior and the feel of a fighter pilot cockpit (dashboard), available with a wider choice of engines and a longer list of options on offer. During the time of the XA build, Ford had already closed down its Falcon(XA) GT HO Phase IV program in the wake of the ‘supercar scare’ in 1972. with enough parts left over from the homologated Phase IV model, Ford created a special batch of XA GT’s called (RPO83) Regular Production Option with a total build number of 250 (120 hardtops and 130 sedans), all were virtually unique which featured a bigger 780 cfm carburettor, extractors, a long-range fuel tank and a baffled sump, some extra components such as long shaft top loader gearbox and a Detroit locker nodular iron 9″ diff were also added to the list but not necessarily documented on the build sheet and quietly sold them off without making a fuss and taking away the spotlight of its predecessor as they were destine to top sales with public demand and popularity, they have become arguably as collectible as the XY GT HO Phase3
In fact, the XA model arguably the boldest design of any Falcon model to date this is about true-blue Australian muscle car majesty, with the XA model claiming Bathurst podiums 2 years in a row and being the only Ford model to do so of the 70’s makes this a special model to acquire and add to any collection as it is sure to appreciate in value by leaps & bounds in the future. With recent headlines in Australia, emerging of the classic car sector being the new money-maker, of vintage classic’s hidden away in garages, sheds and overgrown paddocks across the country, value of these classic and historic homegrown vehicles are steadily accruing in Australia and around the world.

In 1973, the XB Falcon (sold with the slogan “The Great Australian Road Car”) was introduced with more aggressive styling, a multifunction control stalk (indicators, high beam, horn), new colours including colour-coded bumpers on the GT variants, and minor trim variations. Engine options carried over from the XA-series. The GT variant of the XB also included four-wheel disc brakes. The twin driving lights remained, as did the bonnet locks. The bonnet scoops of the GT were now integrated into the “power bulge” on the bonnet, the bumpers were now body-coloured, and the power bulge, wheel arches, sills, and valances were painted in a contrasting colour to the body colour dependent upon the actual body colour.
This XBGT was entered and issued with a Cannonball Run number plate, 240. The race covered 3,755 kilometres stretching from Darwin, down the Stuart Highway all the way to Alice Springs. The 1994 Cannonball Run was a legal event run in the Northern Territory, Australia from 22 May to 27 May 1994. Being built in May of 1976 makes this car special also as it is one of only 13 cars finished in Outback Bronze with Walnut Glow accents. The saddle trim also presents nicely. It still wears its original 12 slots wheels with centre caps as well as other original items such as the radio cassette and long-range fuel tank. Currently running a healthy 351 4V Cleveland (JG66- XAGT Coupe engine) which sounds awesome through the side exiting exhaust and backed by a 4 speed Top Loader and 9” diff. Overall this is a solid and great survivor car which is ready to race or simply be a weekend cruiser. Now available for inspection at our Kogarah facility.
The XB GT represents the end of an era and is the final chapter in the legendary Ford Falcon GT story. Launched in September 1973, the XB range was restyled with a new split grille, one-piece taillights and some significant mechanical improvements such as the option of four-wheel discbrakes. Having continued the GT lineage with the previous XA, Ford again offered a high performance version of the new XB, moving away from the fire-breathing XR-XY GTs and pitched instead as a more refined GT for the mature executive. Powered by the 351 V8 with a four-barrelcarburettor and developing 300bhp at 5400 rpm, the XB GT certainly wasn't lacking in grunt and could still turn the quarter mile in 15.8 seconds on its way to a theoretical top speed of 200 km/h. With a choice of four-speed Top Loader, Borg Warner Single Rail or three-speed F.M.X automatic transmissions, the XB GT had a limited-slip differential as standard. The XB GT was again sold in either sedan or hardtop guise with blacked-out bonnet, grille and rear panels plus GT badges and luxurious interior. One area the XB GT was improved over its predecessor was the optional fourwheel disc brakes and the press generally sang the praises of the new model - Sports Car World magazine headlined the car as "Ford refines the stormer". In total there were 1950 sedans and 949 hardtop XB GTs built before production ceased in June 1976.
