In the classic and muscle car scene there a few certain models that have particularly strong following. The Holden VL Commodore is one of them. In just about any form or genre the Holden VL Commodore is an extremely popular car. This VL Commodore that we offer to you for sale is up there with the rarest of them. Muscle Car Warehouse is now offering this 1970 Ford Falcon XW GTHO Phase II. This exact car was purchased by George Altomonte, the owner of Alto Ford in Sydney’s north for employee Bob Holden to race in the 1970 endurance events at Sandown and Bathurst. Bob Holden retired from the Sandown 3 hour with a mechanical issue after 52 laps. Bob Holden finished 14th at Bathurst after constant brake issues during the race. Driving solo, he finished 7 laps behind winner Allan Moffat. Like many cars of the era, it was sold and used on the road. It found its way to back to Australia from New Zealand in 2017. It has been restored to its Bathurst 1970 livery including roll cage and racing harness. Entered in both the 2017 and 2023 Falcon GT Nationals events. The GTHO has undergone a restoration at some time and as the pictures show, still presents beautifully. The opportunity to purchase a car with such provenance rarely arises. One of Japan’s all-time greats, Nissan's legendary R32 Skyline GT-R was a technological Tour de Force conceived with one goal in mind - to dominate Group A Touring Car racing. Unveiled in 1989, Nissan's engineers came up with the most sophisticated Japanese car yet, combining all-wheel drive and the Super HICAS all-wheel steering system with a sublime DOHC 2.6-litre in-line six. Conservatively rated at 276 bhp in road-going form (the real output was nearer 300 bhp), the R32's high-tech RB26DETT engine was capable of achieving more like 500 bhp in full race specification, thanks four valves per cylinder and twin turbos. Nissan's homologation special was clothed in typically understated bodywork that belied its performance potential; indeed, an R32 GT-R unofficially held the lap record at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit in Germany. Of course, the R32's track record here in Australia is well known - thanks to its dominance on local circuits in the early 1990s, the Skyline earned the nickname 'Godzilla'. Despite attempts by officialdom to slow ‘Godzilla’ down, drivers Mark Skaife and Jim Richards were able to virtually win at will. The partisan crowds at Bathurst may not have appreciated the Nissan's dominance at the time, but the R32 certainly earned the respect of the Australian motoring public. A limited run of just 100 road cars were sold by Nissan in Australia, priced at almost $110,000 apiece. Available in just three colours (red, black and silver), the Aussie GT-Rs differed from their Japanese counterparts in several details, including the badges, outer tail lamp lenses, Maxima stereo unit and Bosch roof-mounted aerial.
This 1985 Holden VK Calais is a fantastic and affordable entry level car into the muscle car scene. Additional to this is the added rarity of it being an original “334 Pack” which means that it is was not only fitted with a Holden V8 5 litre engine, but it was also factory ordered with a four-speed manual transmission. Something not often seen as a Calais was predominately a luxury style car. The renown tu-tone paint scheme, in this case Alpine White over silver with its original “Light Oyster” interior. Riding on retro 20-inch MOMO rims but also comes with 15-inch HDT Aero rims. The only other changes to the car are the fitment of an aftermarket stereo and tinted windows. This Calais a nicely presented example that is ready for lots of summer cruising. Please contact one of our friendly staff to make an appointment to view this car.
In the somewhat wet 1972 Hardie-Ferodo 500, the lightweight HDT Torana GTR XU-1 claimed victory against the heavyweight GT-HO, driven solo for 500 miles (800 km) by Peter Brock. The Viper ACR is an offshoot of the racing program that developed the multi-championship winning Viper GTSR. To earn its ACR badge, the Viper GTS sheds 90 pounds, primarily thanks to the removal of the stereo, electric motors interior systems and fog lamps, and swapping the standard 18-inch wheels, for lightweight one-piece units from BBS/HRE, that mount Michelin Pilot Sport tires. While under the hood, smooth intake hoses, and a high flow air filter from K&N add an extra 10-horsepower to the 8.0-liter V10 engine's output, which now stands at 480 horsepower and 490 pound-feet of torque. All fed through the same beefy 6-speed manual gearbox used in all Vipers sprinting this beast from stand still to 100 klms in 4s. A very special touch is the hand signature of racing legend "Carroll Shelby" on the centre console who was involved at the start of the process under instructions from Chairman of Chrysler Mr Lee loaccoca to develop a true American sports car rival to the Corvette and the romance of the Shelby Cobra's of days gone. They created the Viper and the rest is history.
1961 Chevrolet Corvette C1 Sting Ray Roadster 2dr Man 4sp 283ci/270HP - Matching "CE" Numbers - ONLY 1 Collector Owner in the US-1 ONLY here in Australia - Unrestored We are very pleased to offer to you this great opportunity in securing this stunning and iconic 1961 Chevrolet Corvette C1 Stingray Convertible full matching numbers unrestored exterior and a 1 owner from new in the US with her second owner personally sourcing and imported this time machine C1 directly of the first owner to Victoria and has been on club rego since landing here. This iconic C1 Corvette has been lovingly owned from new with est 81,000mls travelled believed to be accurate with her original engine CE. Her original 283ci/270HP with her 4BBL Single carb are all in great working order and she is mated to her Hurst 4 Speed manual gearbox married to her LSD. The last year of the C1 was a one of year as the General Motors executives decided to review some of Mitchell's designs and made the decision to "green light" a restyling of Corvette for the 1961 model year. Bill Mitchell (Corvette Designer) had begun the process of developing a prototype for an all new Corvette that would go on to become known as the "Mako Shark I." He had also championed a team of Chevrolet designers in developing both cosmetic and performance upgrades to the existing C1 body styling. The most pronounced of Mitchell's changes was the introduction of a freshened rear end design. The "ducktail" design (as it has become known amongst Corvette enthusiasts) was virtually lifted from the Stingray race car as well as Mitchell's XP-700 show car but bonus from a practicality standpoint, the redesign of the rear end of the Corvette C1/2 enabled an increase in available luggage space by twenty percent (20%). The new rear end also showcased a pair of small, round taillights on each side of the license plate recess. (These re-designed tail lights would become synonymous with Corvette and would be a standard feature (in one form or another) on all future generations of Corvette). This never to be repeated again opportunity is upon you now and if your in the market for a superb period correct highly preserved '61 C1 as she was sold new and still in LHD configuration to ensure future values especially being sold back to the US as prices have been strong for the "right" C1 and C2 Corvette's. A head turning iconic Stingray finished in her original paintwork of Black Tuxedo with Santeen Silver Coves over her stunning retrimmed but original color of Stingray Red cockpit. With recent mechanical and service completed including upgrades for useability a new larger radiator coolant hoses and full flush, oil pan, valve cover, new exhaust system complete and alternator conversion. Behind that is the M20 four-speed manual transmission. Finished in Willow with brown trim colour scheme. When restored air conditioning, GTS wheels and mudflaps were added. The Belmont comes with its logbooks, owner’s manual, original number plates and a Holden Historical Services Production Report stating it was originally sold from Ross Hannon Motors, Balgowlah on Sydney’s northern beaches. Launched in mid-1988, the GTS was available as auto or manual but in white only and received several mechanical and handling upgrades to create a ‘club sport’ type vehicle. Nissan SVD launched a second GTS in mid-’89. This time the car was presented in a far more extroverted Beacon Red with white 16-inch wheels. The second GTS’s interior was restyled; the rear seat was heavily sculpted to match the front Scheels. There was a Momo steering wheel, and the trim was a charcoal grey. As with the white GTS, the build run was 200 and all cars had a numbered dashboard badge. This car is build number 067 of the 200 examples produced. It is a factory manual car and still retains its logbook and owner’s manual. Please contact one of our friendly staff to make an appointment to view this car at our Kogarah showroom.

1957 Jaguar XK150 FHC - Fixed Head Coupe - Totally Restored - Aus Delivery - Period Correct - Matching Numbers 210HP-ONLY 3 Owners We are extremely proud and honoured to offer you this very special opportunity in securing one of the most significant classic cars of our time. This stunning iconic 1957 Jaguar XK150 *FHC" or Fixed Head Coupe is considered to be one of the most collectable of the early Jaguar's ever to be made in the collector car market. Announced in its home market in May 1957 the XK150 bore a family resemblance to the XK120 and XK140 but was radically revised. Most visibly was the new a one-piece windscreen replaced the split screen as per the previous models, and the wing line carried higher and more streamlined at the doors. The widened bonnet opened down to the wings, and on the coupés the windscreen frame was moved forward 4 inches (102 mm) to make passenger access easier. The car was available at various times in Red, Pearl Grey, White, Indigo Blue like this example, Claret, Cotswold Blue, Black, Mist Grey, Sherwood Green, Carmen Red, British Racing Green, Cornish Grey, and Imperial Maroon. The Jaguar XK150 FHC was produced between 1957 and 1960 and was the last Jaguar Sports Coupe to be built using the Traditional Body on Chassis construction method before the introduction of the Semi-Monocoque construction used in the E-Type. Initially the XK150 range was powered by the existing 3.4 litre DOHC XK 210HP engine mated to her factory 4 speed manual gearbox with "Overdrive". This 1957 3.4 Litre XK150 Fixed Head Coupe finished in Indigo Blue coachwork with Burgundy Leather Trim and sitting on Sparkling Chrome Wire Wheels presents beautifully inside and out and the total restoration carried out a number of years ago stands exceptionally well today. The XK150's dashboard came trimmed in leather, with walnut optional on all models. This example has had her FULL walnut dash inlays with her factory 4 spoke steering wheel sent back to the UK and fully restored to perfect factory finish. On the early XK coupes a little red light reminded the driver that the front parking lights, located atop the wings fenders were on. This truly is a very rare chance to acquire this very special 50's Supercar of her day which huge racing heritage and pedigree Jaguar had achieved back in the day in her original delivered colours and with matching engine and gearbox totally original and only 3 collector owners from new. This significant Jaguar XK150 FHC is a definite acquisition for any serious car collector the world over by one of the most historical car brands ever and where it all started for the "Super GT* genre'. The Ford XW Falcon GTHO Phase II is arguably the toughest of all the GTHO models Ford made. With all of the 267 examples produced having “solid” 351 4V Cleveland engines, 31 spline Top Loader gearboxes and differentials. Falcon GT enthusiasts would argue that the Phase II is their favourite. This example, restored approximately 15 years ago in its original colour of Diamond White with saddle interior. It was originally delivered to Duhig Ford in Essendon, Victoria and was built in August of 1970. The only variations from original are a pair of extractors, paired with a stainless-steel exhaust system and a Phase III style brake vacuum tank. The original exhaust manifolds are included with the sale. The car was entered in the 2009 Falcon GT Nationals where it took out second place in its class. Also included in the sale of the vehicle is a display stand and board. Contact one of our friendly staff to make an appointment to view this GTHO at our Kogarah facility.
This GTS-R W1 is everything any Holden fan wants to own. The looks, sound and performance are all perfectly matched to one another and are hard to beat as far as collectability goes in the HSV range. Starting with the astonishing Spitfire colour to the ground shaking LS9 supercharged engine this car does not disappoint. The subtle “W1” badging gives off a hint of subtleness and so too do the huge Black 20” wheels. Originally offered in only eight colours, this one would have to be one of the best available. Sold through Suttons Chullora in Sydney the W1 was originally ordered from the factory with every option available on this model such as an electric tilt and slide sunroof, Phantom Black roof, Black 20” spare wheel with cover and Covercraft GTS-R W1 individually numbered weather shield HP car cover. In 2007, Ford drew inspiration from the hallowed names of the past and recreated a legend with the limited-edition FPV GT Cobra. Released at the Sydney Motor Show in both sedan and Ute models, the new GT celebrated the Cobra name last seen in the Seventies on the famous white and blue XC hardtops that scored a memorable victory at Bathurst in 1977. Indeed, the latest Cobra was unveiled on a parade lap of Mount Panorama before the 2007 Bathurst 1000, exactly 30 years after Colin Bond and Allan Moffat’s triumphant 1-2 finish. As with the first-generation Cobra’s, just 400 individually numbered examples of the new FPV GT Cobra sedan were made available, snapped up by enthusiasts, many of whom already owned one of the original XC Cobras.
This Ford FPV GT Cobra was purchased brand new by the current owner from Carmichael Ford. During that time the owner has made some mechanical upgrades to the car which include Herrod camshafts, aftermarket air box and an X Force exhaust. Other extras consist of dealer fitted Bluetooth set up and a reverse camera. The Cobra is also running factory optioned Brembo brakes. It has also been tuned and runs on 98 octane fuel. Build number is 0336/400 and it is also fitted with the six-speed manual transmission which has been fitted with a Mal Wood Quick Shifter and a Hurst style lever and Tremec gear knob. All of the original parts that have been removed from the car are included with the sale. Retaining the Ford compendium and original logbooks. This Cobra is one of only 127 examples fitted with a manual transmission and is also an ’08 build which marked 30 years since the release of the Ford Falcon XC Cobras. The Cobra has recently had the roof lining re done and four new Michelin tyres fitted. Personalised Queensland issued plates “8COBRA” are also available with the car by negotiation. Now available for inspection by appointment only at our Kogarah facility.

When HSV said they saved the best till last, they were right. The Holden VN Group A was something else when released in 1990. Being the lowest production bult HSV and even compared to by some to the Ford Falcon XY GTHO. Here is your opportunity to own what could easily be described as the best example of a VN Group A. in existence. Owned personally up until 2018 by the D’Álberto family, owners of the reputable D’Alberto Holden dealership in Echuca, Victoria. Initially HSV planned to produce 500 examples, but it is commonly known that only 302 examples were produced. This particular car wears build number 333 as this was the build number of the other three Group A Commodores in the D’Abreo collection so therefore HSV honoured this and still allocated this build number to this car. With just over 1800km this car could almost be described as a brand-new car and is totally untouched from front to back. This Group A was never registered and still remains unregistered and comes with its two sets of keys original blank logbook meaning you could be the first private owner of this very special HSV. This Group A needs to be seen to be believed and is definitely one for the serious Holden or HSV collector. Please contact one of our friendly staff to make an appointment to view this car at our Kogarah showroom.

Based on the humble Impreza family car, Subaru's mighty WRX ranks right at the top of the list of motoring cult cars. The combination of all-wheel drive grip, turbocharging and, crucially, a keen sale price all contributed to this legend - not to mention images of the signature blue and gold works cars howling through the forests in the World Rally Championship. Introduced in 1992, the WRX shared the underpinnings of the previous Liberty/Legacy RS, but each part was refined, enhanced, and encased in a smaller body. Australian delivered cars received a 155-kW version of the EJ20, 2.0-litre horizontally opposed turbo 4-cylinder coupled to the familiar constant all-wheel drive system. A four-speed auto was made available, though most buyers went with the five-speed manual. Acceleration was phenomenal, easily a match for the local V8s of the day, but it was the extraordinary levels of grip the WRX had that made it a legend the era. The flagship two-door STI model arrived in 1999 and limited to just 399 cars for the Australian market.
Muscle Car Warehouse are again proud to offer for sale this 1998 Subaru Impreza WRX STI two door!! This car is one of only 399 delivered to the Australian market and are slowly becoming harder to find. Finished in the iconic colour of Rally Blue Metallic with all the original STI additions including, badging, spoilers, and gold rims. This STI has no modifications and is still in great untouched condition and is displaying approximately 122,000 kilometres. It still retains its original logbook, owner’s manual, and other items for the vehicle. This car is a must have for any Japanese car enthusiast. Please contact one of our friendly staff to make an appointment to view this car at our Kogarah showroom.

Now available for is sale is this beautifully maintained Holden VL Commodore Group A Plus Pack. Released in 1986 it was hot on top of Grice’s Bathurst win. Due to the controversial Energy Polariser, there were two versions of the VL Group A. Holden could see no technical merit in the Polariser and thus refused to fit it to the cars, so Brock refused to put decals with his signature on cars without it. As a result, Brock’s signature only appears on the higher spec variant of which approximately 132 units were made. “Numbered one to five hundred and going fast” is what the original sales brochure read when first released and today whenever advertised they last just as long!! With the current owner of seven years and the prior owner from 2004 and an active member of the Brock Commodore Owner’s Association of Australia. The exclusive Permanent Red has only had touch ups in some areas and is in fantastic condition. Look inside and again it is all about originality. Genuine front Scheel seats, MOMO steering wheel, HDT gear knob, signed glovebox and build tag (#383). This VL has been enjoyed regularly and has travelled only 85,000 kilometres with an extensive amount of supporting documentation including roadworthy certificates dating back many years and the HDT build sheet. Even retaining the original black tip aerial. Also included is an original blank logbook, owner’s manual, Polariser, genuine MOMO spare in the boot with the genuine centre cap remover, jack and two sets of keys. With only 300 examples originally produced and only a fraction of them still surviving it is no wonder the Ford Falcon XY GTHO Phase III is so popular and replicated by many. The car we offer for sale here is an almost perfect tribute to the Falcon XY GTHO. From the iconic Vermillion Fire colour right down to the rev limiter mounted on the firewall. The list of authentic parts extends to a correct 780 Holley carburettor, brake proportioning valve, vacuum tank and boot mounted rear spoiler. This whole car was built from the ground up in house at Muscle Car Warehouse with no stone left unturned. After being treated to a complete respray the car was carefully assembled using all new or refurbished parts. Atop of all this the car has been fitted with a factory Golde windback sunroof. The driveline consists of nothing else than a 351 4v Cleveland, four speed Top Loader gearbox and of course a 9” diff. Underneath is just as nice as the rest of the car too, with all the factory markings and stamps replicated just as they would have been in 1971. In August 1970, the first ultra-performance Torana, the GTR XU-1, was developed by Holden along with Harry Firth of the Holden Dealer Team for competition in popular Series Production touring car racing within Australia. This car, built in February of 1971 is a super honest example with only very minimal alterations, only being the front seatbelts and the addition of a five-speed gearbox. The original gearbox and associated items are included with the sale of the car. Originally delivered through Kevin Dennis Motors and owned by Kevin himself who is believed to have campaigned the car in motorsport events up until 1973 when it changed hands to the second owner. The eye popping Plumdinger paintwork has been redone at some point of the cars life and still presents nicely. Inside, although showing signs of wear and tear is completely original and could either be redone or left as is by the next owner. Under the hood is the genuine matching number six-cylinder 186 engine with most of its original components which has recently been rebuilt. Still retaining its original issued Victorian number plates as well as documentation. Now available for inspection by appointment at our Kogarah facility.
First released in 2014, the VA series WRX was the first in the brand’s history to ditch the Impreza badge from its name, and has served as Subaru’s halo performance car for almost a decade. EJ25 denotes the engine code of the current generation’s turbocharged 2.5-litre boxer four-cylinder engine which will be phased out with the VA WRX, making way for a completely new powertrain in the performance car’s next generation. The horizontally-opposed four-banger has been performing as the WRX’s most powerful engine since it was first unveiled in the 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. On the outside, there’s individually numbered badging, gold 19-inch BBS aluminium wheels, silver six-piston Brembo brake calipers with the STI logo, fender inserts, mirror covers and a shark fin antenna. The numbered badging continues on the inside, which also features Recaro sports bucket front seats with silver highlights, an Ultrasuede steering wheel and a carbon fibre-look instrument panel. The Limited-Edition WRX will also only be available in three colours – WR Blue Pearl (50 units), Crystal White Pearl (15 units), and Crystal Black Silica (10 units).

Firstly, sold and delivered to the first owner through Cullen’s of Arncliffe in Sydney on the 22nd of January,1999. It is believed to have had only two owners in its life. Now available for inspection by appointment or via video call at our Kogarah facility.

The XT Falcon range was introduced in March 1968 as a facelifted version of the XR Falcon, which it replaced. The XT featured a revised grille and taillights and improved safety features including split-system brakes, larger tyres, and electrically operated windscreen washers. Standard equipment in the luxury Fairmont models included bucket seats, front disc brakes, a heater/demister, a wood-grain dash, carpet, and courtesy lamps in all four doors. The Fairmont Wagon featured an electrically operated tailgate. The Ford Falcon (XT) is a full-size car that was produced by Ford Australia from 1968 to 1969. It was the second iteration of the second generation of the Falcon and also included the Ford Fairmont (XT)—the luxury-oriented version. An XT Falcon GT driven by Bill Gates and Jim Bertram scored an outright victory in the 1969 Rothmans 12 Hour Classic race for production cars at Surfers Paradise International Raceway on 5 January 1969. A team of three XT Falcon GTs won the Teams prize in the 1968 London-Sydney Marathon, finishing 3rd, 6th and 8th outright.

Even the factory radio still works as it did when the car left the showroom floor. The body of the car is extremely clean with only very minimal signs of rust and or previous rust repairs or major accidents. Under the bonnet is the original matching number 302 Windsor 4V engine that still hosts most of its original components which is coupled up to the original four speed Top Loader transmission and then finally to the 8 ¾ inch diff. The original SS rims are intact and have also been restored as per factory and have new tyres recently fitted. In addition to this new bumper bars have also been fitted too. The XR series was introduced in September 1966. The XR series was initially offered in nine different models: Falcon, Falcon 500, and Fairmont sedans, Falcon, Falcon 500, and Fairmont wagons, Falcon and Falcon 500 utilities, and the Falcon Van. The new wagons shared the 111-inch (2,800 mm) wheelbase with the XR sedans, unlike the 1966 US Falcon wagons which featured a 115-inch (2,900 mm) wheelbase. The Falcon 500 replaced the Falcon Deluxe of the XP series[2] and the two-door hardtop body style available in the XP series was not offered in the XR range in Australia. The marketing focus on the Falcon’s relationship with the Mustang’s sporty appeal led to Ford introducing a Falcon GT variant of the XR in 1967, featuring a 225 bhp version of the 289 cubic inch Windsor V8 engine, sourced from the Ford Mustang. The GT heralded the dawn of the Aussie muscle car. All the original XR GTs were painted in the colour GT Gold, except for eight that were Gallaher Silver and another five that were Russet Bronze, Sultan Maroon, Polar White, Avis White, and Ivy Green.
Muscle Car Warehouse are excited to now offer for sale this 1967 Ford Falcon XR GT. The car that started the muscle car craze in Australia back in 1967. Believed to be one of only 596 examples made by Ford Australia and rarely offered for sale. This example was built in August of 1967 and with some minor repairs and maintenance would make a nice weekend cruiser or if you chose to, restore, and add to your collection. This XR GT appears to have had a full in and out respray in its original GT Gold colour at some stage of its life and is now showing signs of aging. Original Gt badges and hubcaps are still retained on the vehicle. While also displaying signs of wear and tear the interior in this car appears to have never been redone and is all original including the gear shifter with lock out reverse function, original steering wheel, dash, and gauges too. The 289 V8 Windsor engine runs well but has been replaced and is not the original matching number item. The four-speed manual transmission and diff are original also. New South Wales issued “XR GT” number plates included with the car. Also still with the car is the original identification plate. Now available for inspection by appointment at our Kogarah facility.
March 1974 had the first completely new Torana body, with the arrival of the larger mid-sized LH series, produced in four-door sedan style only. Despite the larger external size, the car was relatively cramped by mid-1970s standards. The 5.0-litre engine was reserved for the sporting LH Torana SL/R 5000 sedan. A special build derivative of the SL/R 5000 was the Bathurst-intended ‘L34 Option’, of which only 263 were built, with a higher-compression engine with stouter components for more power and durability in competition use. The most notable external feature of the L34 was the bolt-on wheel arch extensions, designed to accommodate the larger racing rims and tyres. Overall, a total of 70,184 LH Toranas was built. A few special models of the LH were built, the somewhat sporting Plus 4 and G-Pak models. The Plus 4 arrived in September 1974 and was an attempt to move a few more of the slow-selling four-cylinder models. The G-Pak, first seen in February 1975, received the 3.3-litre inline-six. Both came with a four-speed manual, sporting instrumentation, and disc brakes in front.
How cool is this?! A stunning representation of the SL/R L32 Torana. One of the very few that has survived in untouched condition. No flares, no spoilers, no drop tank, and factory ordered in attractive Chrome Yellow this beautiful Torana is an absolute pleasure to see as it is. Having only being repainted in the last three years with only very minimal rust repairs and body work required. All the original badging was replaced and blackouts re done to factory specifications. Even the original hubcaps were retained. Open the doors and you are again treated to totally original “19X” black vinyl interior except for the front two seats which were recovered at the same time the car was repainted. The car is displaying just over 74,000 kilometres and the condition of the car matches that perfectly. Under the bonnet is also the original 253 4.2 litre Holden V8 engine without any major modifications. The gearbox is the original M20 unit and shifts through the gears as it should. This beautiful Torana is a stunning example of an L32 and is perfect for weekend cruising and club events. Now available for inspection by appointment only in our Kogarah facility.

Sold between March 1972 and September 1973, the XA series was the first Falcon to be designed (with assistance from Ford’s US headquarters) and manufactured in Australia. It featured an entirely new body which was larger and more roomy than that of its XY series predecessor, giving it the “coke-bottle” look. The XA range also had a longer list of options, although the choice of engines carried over from the previous XY Falcon range. All V8 302 CID and most 351 CID “Cleveland” engines were now Aussie made. Wagons, Utes, and Panel Vans now featured a longer wheelbase than the sedan. Fairmont wagons had a dual-action tailgate that could be opened either downwards or sideways, optional on base model Falcon and Falcon 500 Wagons. The addition of a two-door hardtop to the range marked the first time that this body style had been offered on an Australian Falcon since the XP series of 1965–1966. This option was available in the subsequent XB and XC models, though very scarce. A total of 129,473 XAs were built. While successful, the XA Falcon range proved to be short-lived as it gained a significant frontal appearance update to become the XB series in September 1973.

Named after the Monaro region in New South Wales (although pronounced differently), Holden's new coupé was introduced in July 1968 in a two-door pillarless hardtop design available in three models: base, GTS and GTS 327. The base Monaro had a standard 161 cubic inch six cylinder engine or the extra cost options of two versions of 186 cubic inch six cylinder engines. The Monaro GTS came standard with the more powerful 186'S' engine and both base model and GTS could be optioned with a 307 cubic inch Chevrolet sourced V8 engine. The exclusive Monaro 'GTS 327' model was powered by a 327 cubic inch Chevrolet V8 engine rated at 250 horsepower, available only with a 4-speed manual transmission. The HK Monaro GTS327 gave Holden its first victory in the 1968 Hardie-Ferodo 500 at the hands of Bruce McPhee and co-driver Barry Mulholland. Whilst Mulholland only drove one of the total 130 race laps, McPhee drove the remainder and also scored both pole position and fastest lap of the race.
Up for sale here is this genuine Holden HK Monaro GTS. Lovingly owned by the current owner since 1990 and restored in 2001. Restored with the intention of being used and enjoyed. The Ermine White paintwork still presents well with only very minor signs of wear and tear. Still sporting GTS wheel arch moulds, striping, and badging. The trim in this car is also still in beautiful condition and all done to original specs with the only modification being an aftermarket CD player that has been installed in the glovebox so that the original theme is kept within the interior. The car sits tastefully on American Racing wheels, again still in great condition. Under the bonnet is of course a healthy V8 Chev engine which runs perfectly. Backing that is a Saginaw four speed manual transmission and then finally a 10 bolt Salisbury diff. Since being restored this Monaro has been entered in many shows such as Summernats and the 2004 Monaro Nationals at Bathurst where it took out Top HK modified. It has always been garaged and only travelled 20,000 miles since the restoration was completed. For any further information do not hesitate to contact Muscle Car Warehouse.
The GT had a Tickford Vehicle Engineering Ford SVO GT40 5.0 litre V8, producing 200 kilowatts (268 hp) of power due to the special SVO GT40 cylinder heads, a high compression ratio of 9.0:1, large valves, heavy-duty valve springs, roller cam followers, fuel injection with a large throttle body and exhaust extractors. The manual version had a heavy-duty clutch, strengthened gears and a short-throw gearshift as standard. Handling was improved with a larger anti-roll bar, urethane bushes, higher-rate springs and retuned front shock absorbers. The EL GT had a 3.45 ratio differential with a live axle and its top speed was around 230 km/h (140 mph). Unlike what was first anticipated, the 30th anniversary EL Falcon GT was based loosely on the Fairmont Ghia rather than the XR models, with only 250 built for Australia - 135 were (4 Speed) automatic and 115 were (5 speed) manual. 15 extra EL GT Falcons were built for New Zealand and 2 of those went to South Africa.
Muscle Car Warehouse is once again excited to bring to you another special Falcon GT. A beautiful representation of the EL GT model. The EL GT, which was released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first Falcon GT, a car which started the Muscle Car craze in Australia. This EL GT, finished in beautiful Sparkling Burgundy, presents well and is the ideal late model weekend cruiser. Original bodykit and original GT wheels all present in great condition and the condition of this car is testament to the kilometres it has travelled. Additional to the late model comfort of this modern Muscle Car is the optional four speed automatic transmission. The interior is also all original and the condition consistent with the rest of the car. Leather seats are in nice condition and also still retains its original MOMO steering wheel and original GT floor matts. The car still also has its original logbook, folder, touch up paint and other associated items. Of the 250 Australian delivered cars this car is build number 098 and was originally delivered to Sun Ford in Caboolture, Queensland. This is the only EL GT that was delivered to this particular dealership. The car currently showing just over 184,000 kilometres which is testament to how well it has been taken car of. So if you are looking for a comfortable weekend cruiser this car is one to be considered. Now available in our Kogarah facility.
As the first model to be produced (March 1985 – February 1986) represented Holden’s increasing efforts in Group A racing. Available only in blue associated with the corporate colours of the Holden Dealer Team’s principle sponsor Mobil, which gave rise to the cars nickname, the “Blue Meanie”. Production began in early 1985, but part supply problems saw the HDT fail to build the required number of 500 and it missed the 1 August deadline for it to be eligible for racing that year. Production still continued and the VK SS Group A was available for motor racing from 1 January 1986. 502 cars were available only through Holden Dealer Team-affiliated Holden dealerships. Visually the VK Group A SS had the addition of a rear spoiler, larger front air dam and a more aggressive front grill over the standard VK Commodore. Other changes included a double row timing chain (eliminating the car’s inherent weakness of 1985, a single row chain), as well as stronger conrods and suspension mountings. Power for the road going Group A SS with its 4.9- litre engine was rated at 196 kW (263 hp) at 5200 rpm, with a top speed of 215 km/h (134 mph). Transmission options were four-speed M21 manual, or optional five-speed Getrag T5. (The T5G transmission WAS NOT an option with the VK Group A – some cars did get it fitted at Bertie Street by SPECIAL arrangement with HDT) It was dealer fitted! The car was assembled at Dandenong, Victoria by Holden and modified at Bertie Street Port Melbourne by HDT.
Muscle Car Warehouse is very proud to present what is undoubtedly one of the most renown models of the Brock range, the VK Group A, or more commonly known as “THE BLUE MEANIE”. As of late one of the most replicated Aussie muscle cars! This example is build number 248 and is in beautiful condition. The paintwork on the vehicle is mostly original as per factory with the exception of the front bumper bar, bonnet and lower sill panels. These areas have been repainted due to general wear and tear (stone chips). The condition of the paintwork presents extremely well for a car of its age. The trim of the vehicle presents well above average and again consistent with all other areas of the car. It presents all original and with only very minimal wear and tear to items such as steering wheel, gear knob and drivers seat. The only modification being an aftermarket Alpine branded stereo although original Eurovox stereo is included with the sale of the vehicle and is an easily reversed modification. This Brock still has all its (5) original 16×7 Aero rims with centre caps included. Four of the five wheels have recently been refurbished along with (5) new Bridgestone Potenza tyres. It has been verified that the original matching number engine is still in the vehicle with the only modifications being a genuine Holden over the counter 355 cubic inch crankshaft, comparable Brock specification roller camshaft, aftermarket inlet manifold, carburettor, extractors, aluminium rocker covers and the addition of a genuine HDT cold air induction. Please note, all genuine parts that have been removed from the engine are also included with the sale of the vehicle and again can be reversed to maintain originality. The transmission in the vehicle has been upgraded from the original “M21” four speed unit to a more desirable genuine HDT “T5G” five speed transmission. All associated items e.g. bellhousing are also genuine HDT items. The vehicle was originally retailed through United Motors, Adelaide on the 2nd of August, 1985 and has only had three owners since. This car still retains its original logbook, owners manual, radio manual as well as an extensive amount of other associated paperwork including the original purchase receipt. Two sets of original keys including master key and two alarm pads are also included. Originally issued South Australian number plates (UTG-888) are also included. The odometer reads just over 167,000 kilometres. Now available for inspection by video call at our Kogarah facility.
As with the first generation Cobra’s, just 400 individually numbered examples of the new FPV GT Cobra sedan were made available, snapped up by enthusiasts, many of whom already owned one of the original XC Cobras. NO, your eyes are not deceiving you!! Only 59 Delivery kilometres is all that this car has travelled!! Almost impossible to find another BF Cobra of this calibre. HOLDEN VL GROUP A COMMODORE PLUS PACK. The VL SS Group A was the second car built for Group A racing purposes and also numbered 500 in total. Released in 1986 it was hot on top of Grice’s Bathurst win and the launch of the Unleaded V8. Due to the controversial Energy Polariser there were actually two versions of the Group A. Holden could see no technical merit in the Polariser and thus refused to fit it to the cars, so Brock refused to put decals with his signature on cars without it. As a result, Brock’s signature only appears on the higher spec “Plus Pack” variant of which only 173 units were made. “Numbered one to five hundred and going fast” is what the original sales brochure read when first released and today whenever advertised they last just as long!! Up for sale here is a beautiful example of HDT‘s second generation Group A Brock Commodore . From its exclusive colour Permanent Red together with the original body kit, unique Plus Pack decals to the factory option MOMO star rims. This unmolested example shows minimum stone chips to the front end thanks to the rare optioned leather car BRA (included in sale) which was available to all GroupA customers, this vehicle also retains all its original glass right through to its head lights & tail lights with true complements of all its factory decals , stamps & markings of quality control still visible throughout the vehicle, even its complete undercarriage including shocks and springs which has been lovingly maintained and is ready to be used and enjoyed!! Look inside and again it is all about originality. Genuine front Scheel seats, MOMO steering wheel, HDT gear knob, glovebox build tag and the list goes on. Odometer reading is just over 69,000 kilometres. Of the 500 cars built this particular car is build number 096 sold by Hardes Auto House Taree NSW. When released the all new Holden Commodore VT Series 1 (1997 – 1999), budget time and emission restrictions would mean that we would see development cease on the locally built Holden V8 and it would be the last time in history that we would see a local built Holden / HSV powered vehicle. When released in 1997 the HSV VT GTS Series 1 was ahead of it’s time and offered unrivalled performance across Australia and 99% of performance sedans of the world, Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson stated the VT GTS Series 1 as almost being a twin to the Austin Martin Vantage and a reminder of the Lotus Carlton. But Most importantly, it is the LAST of the true Aussie Built HSV muscle cars. Sure, the Series 2 and later model LS engines produce more power; but you just can’t deny that the Holden motor is one of the sweetest things you will ever hear and not many can beat the sound of that Lion-Hearted, Aussie Built Holden Stroker. Does it get any better?! This would have to be top of the ladder as far as the VT HSV range goes. From its vibrant Sting Red paintwork to the optional Pewter coloured leather interior this VT GTS ticks all the boxes. Adding to the desirability is the ever so popular electric sunroof. Power is supplied by the 5.7 later stroker engine (producing 220KW) available in the GTS model and backed by a 6-speed manual transmission. The build number on this GTS is #294 of 399 units released. Of them, 263 were fitted with the M34 code manual transmission. The only modifications to this GTS is an upgraded “SS Inductions” branded airbox (original one included, see pictures) and an immobiliser. Sounds as good as it looks!! It also still retains its original logbooks and owners manual. So if you want a little bit old school Aussie V8 power mixed with new school HSV comfort and collectability contact Muscle Car Warehouse today to arrange a video inspection.

There was just 1585 XY Fairmont Gts built for the South African market during 71-72, which followed on from a handful of the previous generation of XW Fairmont GTs. This was Ford Australia’s export version of the Falcon GT, which had a number of unique features distinguishing it from its Australian counterpart. As opposed to the “Super Roo”, the South African GT is known as the “Super Rhino” There are two reasons the Gt’s were badged Fairmont GT in South Africa; 1. South Africa never had a Falcon at the time, only Fairmont XR and XT. Therefore to keep the model name continuing, when the XW and XY GT’s were sold there, they re-badged them to be a Fairmont GT. 2. South Africa had imported a Canadian Falcon in the late 60’s. They had a bad reputation on reliability and build therefore Ford South Africa made the decision to re-badge them to a Fairmont GT For more information and history on the “Super Rhino” visit website https://www.safairmontgt.com.au/history/
This car was imported from South African in 2004 to Queensland. Then it was sold in 2004 to current owner. The car is presented in Everglade Green with black XY GT Falcon spec trim. Running a 351 4v Cleveland and backed by a 4 speed top loader gearbox and 9 inch diff. There have been a couple of changes to the cars original specifications, such as a toploader replacing the factory auto, Falcon Gt stripes instead of the Super Rhino stripes, XY GT Falcon trim instead of Futura trim. The car is rust free and drives well, perfect for an enthusiast who appreciates the significance of these rare GT’s. Car is available for viewing in our Kogarah facility.

Registered with NSW custom plate 71-GTF , with reference to the build number 71/500 still smells BRAND NEW and presents in PRISTINE condition throughout
This is far from a computer-tickle-and-decals special. The small but passionate teams at FPV wanted to go out with a BANG and something iconic, not just cosmetics and marketing waffle, and as a result, the GT-F boasts the best hardware available from FPV running a 5.0Lt V8 Supercharged producing 351KW.
It follows the same format as 2012’s GT R-Spec, featuring its mixed-width wheel and tyre package (including 19 x 9.0-inch rear alloys wearing 275/30R19 Dunlops) and the now-discontinued GT-P’s premium brakes – 355mm cross-drilled front discs with six-piston Brembo calipers, and 330mm cross-drilled rears with four-piston Brembo calipers.
GT-F’s suspension tune also mirrors the R-Spec – higher spring rates, re-tuned Sachs monotube dampers, stiffer front upper control arm bushes, stiffer upper suspension mounts, a larger 19mm rear anti-roll bar, reinforced rear lower control arms and a revised toe setting on the rear wheel alignment to improve turn-in, plus stiffer transmission mounts to “reduce powertrain and driveline movement under load”. GT-F’s blacked-out styling package – gloss-black ‘raccoon eyes’, full black upper grille, black-bezel headlights and tail-lights, black door handles, a big gloss-black rear spoiler, and a gloss-black diffuser. Then there’s the stripe package, which the designers used to enhance the Falcon’s shape. So the GT-F gets a wide, matte-black over-body stripe – reminiscent of the anti-reflective matte-black bonnets of 1960s and ’70s race cars – flanked by a thinner pair of stripes, and matte-black inserts into the scallops in the lower doors. Familiar as the Falcon shape may be, the GT-F’s look is tough and recognisably different. Interior is special with GT embroidered suede and leather accented seats which wrap around your body to give you that ultimate drive experience complimented with orange stitching throughout, the instrument dials with orange-striped faces gives the feel of that European race with 351 logos , as is the large centre touch screen has unique digital dials among them is a G-force metre, the GT-F intro screen with build number. So as it stands, the GT-F is a pretty special car and a good example of a true Australian muscle car. Now available to view at our Kogarah facility.

With most car enthusiasts, the legendary Torana A9X remains the ultimate Aussie muscle car ever produced by Holden, which is highly sought after by all collectors and car enthusiast’s as one of the most iconic Aussie muscle cars built on our home soil. Which also bares an Aboriginal name (Torana) which means to FLY and this particular model sure did that by being a podium winner for consecutive years at Mount Panorama in the Bathurst 1000. This history making machine may have been a slower seller of the mid 70’s due to 4door sedans which were in high demand at the time, with only 100 available in the hatch version they were certainly going to become a classic collectors item as they sure have.
During 1977 the LX series Torana was introduced to the market with a performance package, ‘A9X Option’ which was available on the 5.0-litre V8-powered SLR 5000 sedan and SS hatchback models. The A9X visually resembled the L34-optioned LH model, but with the addition of a rear-facing bonnet scoop designed to increase airflow into the engine bay (carburettor) to produce maximum power in motor racing applications. The A9X package varied from the old L34 in road form in that whilst the engine was not modified, the A9X nevertheless had some special mechanical features such as rear disc brakes, heavy-duty axles, and a heavy-duty ’10 bolt’ differential.
After being rushed into Group C touring car racing by Peter Brock’s HDT team, gave the A9X a dream debut at Sandown Raceway in 1977 outright winner but wasn’t so lucky at the Bathurst 1000 for that year. The A9X was soon refined by HDT and proved dominant during the following two seasons of touring-car racing in Australia. Peter Brock was victorious in the 1978 and 1979 Australian Touring Car Championships and Bathurst 1000’s . In a show of the A9X’s superiority, Brock and Richards won the 1979 Bathurst 1000 race by a record six laps, with Brock setting the touring-car lap record on the last lap of the race and being labelled KING OF THE MOUNTAIN.

Now a 3rd owner vehicle, which has been well looked after and preserved by all custodians which still presents in stunning condition, also quoted as one of the greatest A9X’s that still remain on our roads today by the A9X Torana Owners Association of Australia. Guesstimated by the (A9X TOAA) that only 50% of A9X hatch’s throughout Australia still survive making this particular vehicle among the rarest Aussie classics. Presented in Jasmine Yellow with contrasting Slate Black vinyl trim and all matching numbers (L31) 308 V8, M21 4speed manual gear box and 3.08:1 diff retaining all its original glass, rare brake air ducts, Log books / owners manual, all service history GMH Authenticity Letter, Warranty card and magazine featured articles, ridding on its original day one A9X wheels with codes visible on all rims including spare wheel in boot plus the bonus HATCH HUTCH in its original case stored away in the boot. The XA model first introduced in (1972-1973), a totally new design, was the first Falcon completely designed and built in Australia , designers had the opportunity of designing a (pillar-less variant) and a more ‘Australianised’ car. The result was a bulky coke bottle design, sleek in appearance featuring a bigger body, roomy interior and the feel of a fighter pilot cockpit (dashboard), available with a wider choice of engines and a longer list of options on offer. During the time of the XA build, Ford had already closed down its Falcon(XA) GT HO Phase IV program in the wake of the ‘supercar scare’ in 1972. with enough parts left over from the homologated Phase IV model, Ford created a special batch of XA GT’s called (RPO83) Regular Production Option with a total build number of 250 (120 hardtops and 130 sedans), all were virtually unique which featured a bigger 780 cfm carburettor, extractors, a long-range fuel tank and a baffled sump, some extra components such as long shaft top loader gearbox and a Detroit locker nodular iron 9″ diff were also added to the list but not necessarily documented on the build sheet and quietly sold them off without making a fuss and taking away the spotlight of its predecessor as they were destine to top sales with public demand and popularity, they have become arguably as collectible as the XY GT HO Phase3
In fact, the XA model arguably the boldest design of any Falcon model to date this is about true-blue Australian muscle car majesty, with the XA model claiming Bathurst podiums 2 years in a row and being the only Ford model to do so of the 70’s makes this a special model to acquire and add to any collection as it is sure to appreciate in value by leaps & bounds in the future. With recent headlines in Australia, emerging of the classic car sector being the new money-maker, of vintage classic’s hidden away in garages, sheds and overgrown paddocks across the country, value of these classic and historic homegrown vehicles are steadily accruing in Australia and around the world.

In 1973, the XB Falcon (sold with the slogan “The Great Australian Road Car”) was introduced with more aggressive styling, a multifunction control stalk (indicators, high beam, horn), new colours including colour-coded bumpers on the GT variants, and minor trim variations. Engine options carried over from the XA-series. The GT variant of the XB also included four-wheel disc brakes. The twin driving lights remained, as did the bonnet locks. The bonnet scoops of the GT were now integrated into the “power bulge” on the bonnet, the bumpers were now body-coloured, and the power bulge, wheel arches, sills, and valances were painted in a contrasting colour to the body colour dependent upon the actual body colour.
This XBGT was entered and issued with a Cannonball Run number plate, 240. The race covered 3,755 kilometres stretching from Darwin, down the Stuart Highway all the way to Alice Springs. The 1994 Cannonball Run was a legal event run in the Northern Territory, Australia from 22 May to 27 May 1994. Being built in May of 1976 makes this car special also as it is one of only 13 cars finished in Outback Bronze with Walnut Glow accents. The saddle trim also presents nicely. It still wears its original 12 slots wheels with centre caps as well as other original items such as the radio cassette and long-range fuel tank. Currently running a healthy 351 4V Cleveland (JG66- XAGT Coupe engine) which sounds awesome through the side exiting exhaust and backed by a 4 speed Top Loader and 9” diff. Overall this is a solid and great survivor car which is ready to race or simply be a weekend cruiser. Now available for inspection at our Kogarah facility.
